Talking about annual accounts.... we did ours tonight. We have been meaning to them since April and have just got round to it. Do most advisors have accountants? Do their own tax return? Done it yet???

hi i have an accountant do my tax stuff. it costs more, but it has that 'certified accountant' stamp on it. am thinking about doing it myself, its easy enough ,get your first one done by an accountant and you will have a blueprint for the next one. good luck

Hi from julie I have used the same acountant for many years on our other buisnes and Hillarys. I find that it saves money and trouble in the end with the 'accountant' stamp on it. I have had one hell of a go this time. I have used a program for years that my bank gave me and this time it went berserk and lost everything twice. just wiped it out. So gone to good old Excel and its done the job nicely. Each year I say ''I'll do my accounts each month but always forget and then panic when the accountant says he wants them. Having just finished them I'll try again but bettings I won't keep it up and panic again next year.

I thought that all self employed people who earn over 15000 per year had to have their accounts certified by an accountant.
