Motters What the blazes is a qtec phone, is this a replacement for the current sam equipment?

a Qtec phone is what you have now, the vodaphone Xpa is a rebranded Qtec2020

is any1 still using their pda as sat nav as well as for sam...seriously considering it but not sure the cheapest way...do i have to have 2 sd cards (1 for sam and 1 for sat nav software) or will our current cards take both? also do i need a gps reciever.

hi Royt, If you intend to use sat nav on your SAM you only need one card, but I would advise that you get a bigger one than the one supllied with SAM. You will need to purchase a GPS reciever. You can get advise from Kev Beardlsley in ITC on how to transfer the SAM data onto the new card.

is any1 still using their pda as sat nav as well as for sam...seriously considering it but not sure the cheapest way...do i have to have 2 sd cards (1 for sam and 1 for sat nav software) or will our current cards take both? also do i need a gps reciever. many thanks Hi Roy t, I have had tom tom 5 on mine for about 14 months now and it works fine with an additional gps receiver BUT I really do not need it as it is local anyway for Hillary's work etc. But when the good woman wants to use it she cannot because I need SAM for work. SO personally I would invest your money in a dedicated sat nav system which is totally portable for anyone in family to use, cost me around £120 to set whole lot up you can get a standalone device now for as little as £140. If you still want to go for a SAM setup let me know and I will help with any info & links for gps system etc. Glen
