If you didn't get the email, then there is a new update for SAM available via the 'SAM' website.
email me for details on how to install.

You need to contact IT and all of your previous cust. list needs to be downloaded to your computer and I think you link your SAM to computer to get cust. address. But I do not think we can add new cust. lead yet. Cannot understand why we can not just link straight into Hillary's database via gprs or why we cannot put new cust lead in. Glen

A lot of my self gens are friends, friend of friends, or neighbours of customers..... in other words not previous customers.
I can't understand why we can't just put all the details in ourselves..... is there some technical reason why that would be so difficult?
Not trying to be negative, as each improvement is good news, but it just seems a much simpler way to me.

i think it will come in future updates . if it was possible now i'm sure they would have given it to us.
Credit where it's due tho, we are getting updates all the time .
Hopefully soon I will get my hands on the 'to do' list.

Could someone please post the address of the sam site as I did not know of such a site that can be used for downloading updates...I am quite new to Hillarys and only been on the SAM system about a month and only just beginning to get to grips with it properly...also...I was at a team meeting the other day and someone mentioned that they have hooked up their SAM device to TOMTOM navigation...does anyone know how this is done?( in laymans terms please )...one more thing...I took an order via sam this evening...everything was fine until I came to print out a reciept for the customer...the SAM device froze for about 3 minutes then gave a message PRINTER NOT FOUND...I tried again and the same thing happened again...I began to sweat and swear under my breath before trying it again...and got the same message one more time...Bluetooth was on and the signal was good so dont know what the problem was..I ended up having to write out a paper reciept for the customer...any tips on what could be done if this happens again?

Hi Rhino,
I'd contact the IT helpdesk in the morning and ask if there are any current upgrades you need to do as some on the download site are for old upgrades and pricing.
You can get a software version of TOMTOM for your device follow the link in red at the top of this site to find out more.
Re 'printer not found' try coming out of the order- goto the diary page and then go back into the appointment and view the order details - try to print from there.
If this doesn't work then goto menu- then settings - then connections - then bl;uetooth- then bluetooth manager. Click on the icon for printer and click to connect to it.
IF - that doesn't work then I'd try a 'soft' reset. This means you get the stylus and poke it into the small round hole on your device ( this is found in different places depending on what you have ) on the i-mate it is on the bottom of the device just to the left.
You will see the vodafone page come up and in about 30 seconds the program will be up and running again.
Go back into to SAM - into the order and try to printer again from there.
If you still have trouble then I'd get back onto IT but they will go through these steps first.
Hope this helps.
