Left a SAM quote yesterday, how do i get back into it to alter the price and convert the quote? What you do is open SAM, and from the drop down menu list (normally 'Diary') select 'Order List' on the next screen theres another drop down - select 'Quote' then highlight the one you wish to look at.

You can hold on to a SAM quote by opening up the quote in the order list the next day, then saving it again as a quote. The date changes, so the quote is held on SAM another day. It seems that you can keep doing this each day to hold on to it. Don't though, change the system date to see or use a future lead. Doing this queues the quote and sends it off at the next available point.
I also recently did a lead a day early, and closing it off doesn't release the time in the same way as an early fit does. I'm told a fix is imminent on this.

I took an order for some blinds, but customer wanted other windows in chrome. To give a price, typed the window sizes into SAM, using another slat colour. These were left as a quote until chrome back in stock. But when I went back to add a note saying it should be chrome, I noticed that both the order and the quote had been sent to HO. I e-mail IT support and received the following from Kevin Beardsley.
"In answer to your question, unfortunatley SAM cannot split the quote from the order when there are both attached to one appointment. Therefore the quote is sent at the same time as the order."
So a positive post. Thanks to IT support they are very helpful.
