Another glitch discovered today. Check your order list on SAM. If you have "Order" rather than a SAP number in the Type column, the order has failed. You'll need to contact ICT Yeah thanks for that Des. Found 3 orders not sent one from the 6/1/07 have had to resend order minus deposits etc. Apparently ict were aware of problem but neglected to tell advisor's. DOH!!!!!!! Glen

If, like me, you go through the fax the night before and plan your journey, you may miss a call that's on your SAM device but not print out

According to my FSM Hillarys are far from happy with the overall reliability and performance of SAM.

When I was given sam we were told that if its not up to scratch and is dumped then hillarys would be paying us all back i think its in the contract.but knowing hillarys they will do it to suit themselves.

Dump SAMMY!!!!. I have more chance of winning the national lottery 3 weeks in a row than Hillary's splitting up from their beloved Sammy. Too much has been put in to its development for them to just drop it. They will work on it, throwing more and more money and resources at it until its a Cyborg and takes over the world.

HI Brazil
I've just got my 3rd SAM Device in 18 months and spoke to vodafone myself. I insisted that I would not accept a reconditioned PDA and eventually they agreed to send me the new upgrade Vodafone 1605 VPA compact 111.
It looks very nice but the only problem is I can't use it at the moment as the memory card from the old PDA isn't compatible with the phone. I'll loose all my information if I upgrade to the new handset over the phone or I have to send in both memory cards to IT so that they can transfer the data.
Problem is I live miles away from head office and use SAM on a daily basis. I'll have to wait until I've got a holiday booked!
Luckily Alan has a PDA which he never uses so I'm currently using that one!
Apart from that Hiccup........................... I LOVE SAM AND WOULDN'T BE WITHOUT IT!!
K ;D

Keenasmustard!
It is more a case of Sillarys telling us SAM is not up to scratch in order to 'spin' that we are going to upgrade to another PDA with another 2 year contract!
It'll be the same thing, ... different dressing!
Once my beloved SAM bites the dust, I'll be back to paper for sure!

SAMs not perfect, but in many ways I do prefer it, rather than reverting back to paper. Biggest gripe is it's slow, and seems even slower after the last upgrade. The global change facility has helped a little, but it is still not what I would prefer to see.
For the majority of small 1-2 blind orders it's fine, A pita if doing a new house or lots of windows.

Mine seems to be ok too! Only problem I had is that the time during Christmas that we had to keep pda switched off, with no daily back ups, I lost some of my information and ITC can't seem to recover that. That is from the 13 th of December that all my customers is wiped on the pda, so please make sure that you do the daily back ups when requested to do so. Don't know how reliable it is, but hopefully it will be with ITC.
Have anyone of you ever shortened a wooden venetian blind? My customer wants it shorter with 3 slats, was exact measurement with her consent, she still not happy with result and wants it shorter. If I send it back to be done by Hillarys they will charge her almost 70 pounds to re-cord the venetian. Any suggestions?
