Here is a solution to one common problem.
Some of you have noted that phoning in self generated leads to be added to your diary so that you can order through SAM often results in your not getting credit for generating the lead.
When you phone in the lead, insist that they enter the source code as '97' and, for safety's sake, take the name of whoever takes the lead from you. When the appintment comes through to your SAM diary (immediate if you request update) it should show as code SLF rather than APP. If it doesn't, phone them back and insist that they amend the code to '97' as requested.
You shouldn't have this problem for much longer anyway. My SAM has been updated to include a database of all previous customers in my postcodes so I can enter a lot of leads direct onto SAM myself. Only a few agents have been offered this option to date but I understand that it should be available to everyone in the next month or so.
