I have said no to SAM all the way but it's crunch time and I feel confused over what I am paying for Some say we only pay for the printer Some say we pay for it all If we do only pay for the printer do we need it? and why?

This is the way I see it, and I bought the whole package for £317.. The SAM comes free with a 2year contract. This will cost you about £12 per month for using it. (If you don't make phone calls and use as a mobile) The printer costs £317. At the time it didn't occur to me that I could maybe do without the printer. It IS useful, but you can still use all the SAM functions without it. It depends whether you want to pay £317 for the convenience of it, or to continue giving your customers a hand written receipt. I believe an agent has taken on SAM and refused to buy the printer.... so it's worth a try. I also believe you can get a similar printer for about £200 if you shop around on the internet. Trust me.... you will like SAM when you've had it a few weeks.

I'll 2nd that.
After having SAM now for close to a year I wouldn't go back.
We never had the option of taking the printer or not at the time as it was all still new.
I did look around online for a cheaper price on the printer, but again things cost more then.
It might be worth telling them that you can now buy it far cheaper than the £317 they quote you !
If you need me to I can try and find out where to get one.

I supplied my own printer . Caused 'em a bit of bother but stood my ground . BUT i was invoiced for £69 to cover the printer case, smart card (in the end they gave me 2!!)and printer guide . and small supply of paper.
The printer was brand new at £110, so i still saved some dosh.
Question everything , and go your own way if you dare .

Where did you get the printer from at that price?

Highwayman,
I was able to source the printer from a private seller on e-bay!
