I placed an order on Sam for 5 verts. 4 in one colour and 1 in another, They arrived all the same colour (on the invoice too) I phoned up today to DOR the wrong one and was told it was not possible to make a mistake when processing a SAM order!! It must be an agent error. Hello!! (I said politely) I have a copy of the SAM printout and I have not made a mistake. I had to then fax it to the service centre as they again insisted it was impossible!! When we paid £300 for the Sam I was assured it would elimimate these sort of DOR's. So... another unhappy customer waiting for a blind, and another wasted trip (time and petrol) for us!! I also sent a wood ven SAM order recently.. Two weeks later as the fitting date passed,and there was no sign of it, I was told it was out of stock. Again, we were told this couldn't happen with SAM, as it would not allow us to order out of stock blinds. Any other "impossible" SAM mistakes happening out there? PS My Monthly reports arrived today. OMG.... they make me mad!! Who compiles them, and from what information???

Somebody tried to palm me off with a wooden ven in praire willow instead of tundra white !
Can't be SAM's fault ?

I ordered 6 mexican pine aluwood on SAM. Had phone call 5 days before fitting date to say it was out of stock and would'nt be in till 1st week October. How can this be I asked no answer given. Also on order a further 7 venetians which although ready for delivery were not put on van, now having to send them by carrier so that I can at least fit half of customers order on time
Nothing is foolproof!!!.

Mine was order CNE87 Harvey 2816691 Ordered Cream on SAM... Pearl arrived on invoice and delivery.
I got fined £7.50...... (which I got back this week )

Hi all As anybody had same problem as me today, put xmas offer into Sam 3-99 But Sam decided to give them away 0.00 price on everything, nearly let customer have them, but I would been the loser as well, £14.50 better than nothing,

Have you done the latest update on the SAMs unit as my unit priced the 3 4 99 up as 0.00 last weekend but I did the update and it is OK now. Well as OK as SAMs can be.

I did the update last night. Haven't quoted 3/£99 but had a lot of printer problems today. Good to see pleated on there, faxed an 11 blind order in Thursday. Data entry gave me 10 mink & 1 white rail. Luckily team leader in production spotted it and rang me check, so big thanks to pleated (Tina I think)

Dibsdobs Thankyou for that comment, but this update memo I have not had , and on looking at the up date site , seeing that I’m in the price trial area good ,better, best, the price update didn’t apply to us anyway.my last post was a question a sinple answer would have been ok.

Just come back from a customer, Everything was going well and she wanted 6 alluwoods, not the sale ones either. That will be £645 mam, says I. Yes that will do OK I will have them, now I want one more for the little girls bedroom. Little girl picks Bubblegum pink. Oh thats on half price offer says I. Put the measurements in and checked the price. £0.00? Oh, at that price i think I will have them all in bubblegum she said with a smile. Now I have just said that Sam is linked up to the main frame computer at Hillary's and it will be correct. So can you imagine the problem now. If I put it through at zero as Sam was telling me then I work for nothing. To input the price of that one blind I had to raise to cost of the others, so her invoice comes to somewhere near what it should be but will still say the Bubblegum is free. God give me strength with this Sam. Red

SAM programming should also allow us to INCREASE the stated prices, as there some occassions where this practice is very useful.
Lets face it Hillary's would benefit the most , wouldn't they!
