I've seen them advertise in franchise publications before, had more detail and was just the standard advisor deal. Don't know if this is the same, would be worth getting a friend to fill in the form to see what the deal is.

Anyone paying a fee wants their heads testing . The Management left cant manage to find a buyer and have already lined thier pockets with 30 pieces of silver. Most have left setting up their own companies after tricking them in to going uniform with company name and doing away with all the sub companies. A great marketing Idea, Its opened up the market now for every man and his dog. Thanks im ok Jack.

I dont know whether any franchise is running yet but speaking to a bloke in the service centre on Thursday he checked on his computer to see what kind of advisor i was. I was standing next to a customer at the time so I didnt think much about it, until now seeing these posts.

looks like another way to fatten the goose before the slaughter !
I know the company is up for sale and if they have healthy projections of revenue as a result of franchising then it looks even better for the sellers.

Hillary's in thier Official site have responded to an advisor questioning the fantastic franchise oppurtunity ! Its all Lies , lies , lies ! they state they do not get involved in franchising ! Have a look for yourselves !

I have heard of this Seamus via my FSM and although i dont know his position within Hillarys he comes across as one of the better guys. This talk of Franchises is not new at Hillarys and while Hillarys can indeed be cunning and full of spin I am sure that they would want to approach any reliable, succesful advisor to get them on board if the day of an ordinary advisor was slowly disappearing. Business will always be business whoever it is between. For all of the many gripes we have with Hillarys i dont see how it could possibly work anyway and how they could engage a single Franchise into an area covered by 5/6 advisors as my city is.

Yep, Seamus is definitely one of the good guys - and he has been with the company for a long time so he also understands its growth pains and can input a semblence of continuity and evolution, rather than revolution.
If Hillarys were thinking of going the franchise route (which I don't believe is the case, except perhaps in a few territories where it is difficult to recruit i.e Ireland) then I think a lot of us longer term advisors would bite off their hand at the oppurtunity.
Firstly, there would surely have to be some sort of a special deal for established advisors so we would get a franchise on the cheap. Secondly, a franchise would have to offer some protection so would entail exclusivity in postcodes and would perhaps also have to be across the product range, including all specialist products. Where an area needs more coverage it would then be up to the franchisee to employ people himself.
Given the chance, and at the right price, I would take on three counties tomorrow and I might even employ some of you lot to do the graft while I count the money and act like an FSM.
I really can't see it happening, or at least not in well established territories, because at the moment Hillarys pull all of the strings and would not want to give that up - but if it ever does they can count me in.

The last I heard was that a Chinese outfit is front runner. I would tend to think of Nein Made who do the woodens for Sillary's.
Have fun you guys.

OK people get ready to be shafted - You know you like it!
I have a D/O/R Questionairre to return to Hillarys . As an incentive to get at least 10 replies the suits offer a prize.
1st prize - 6 Months Free SAM Licence! 2nd prize - 3 Months Free SAM Licence ! 3rd prize - Again 3 months Free SAM Licence !
Now if they are offering us to win something FREE , it means normally we will have to PAY for it . So Whats a SAM Licence ? I rang IT dept and Service centre and NO ONE Knew!
So lurking around the corner , are we to pay Hillary's for the priviledge of a SAM Licence ? If they want money from me - they can Whistle!
