I have heard that it is highly likely that the Hillarys site has an embedded worm that is down-loaded onto your computer when you first log-on to that site. It will report back any of your searches, especially should you type in any key words on e.g. Google, such as 'Blinds', 'Blind Suppliers' etc. It seems strange that you should have to 'log-on' with a password but you do not have a 'log-out' button to leave! This is the first site of it's kind that I have visited that does this!!! Could there be some truth in all of this? Several people have raised this issue already! Is this another bit of dishonesty from those at 'Ivory Towers' Colwick? ?

Only second time i've posted on here, but just thought i'd mention that Nortons Internet Security on my PC has just removed a key-logger spyware program that beleive it or not arrived on my PC in Trojan form. It seemed a coincidence that this occurred a short time after logging into the new Advisors Site.
Once developed though, i still think the site will be useful, if its developed, like SAM, through advisor feedback.

I recommend that after every visit to the hillary's official site you close the browser , then run 'anti-spy ware' programme followed by a virus detection programme. With all this bother - doubt many will log in that often - guessing now , but once a month seems likely! Keep posting here Crazyhorse!

I think this scare is another conspiracy theory in the making - I know Hillarys do some silly things from time to time but it would take a tremendous stretch of the imagination to assume that they are that stupid ! I've only dipped into the new site a couple of times and have found it very unfriendly, as well as out of date. I can't see me using it much until the forum allows us to see the 'last 50' like this site, and until information is updated regularly. However, once they get it right, I'll be visiting it daily just the same as this forum.

Norton Antivirus is not the ultimate remedy in catching the Trojan key-logger virus attaching to the Hillary site. Friends I have ( in low places!) have confirmed to me that the Webroot Spyware Sweep Programme traps every known germ on the web and regularily catches the somewhat amateurish attempts by someone using Hillarys site to log specifically any searches done on the infected machine which contain the word "window" or the word"blind" or the word "blinds" in both upper and lower cases, and/or a mix of both ! Such info is then sent to a remote server...... Make of that what you will.. But I suggest you get Webroot Spyware and Webroot Window Washer installed yesterday. and see what you catch. Norton is not as safe as McAfee!!!Ask any serious net nerd!! Bear

Norton is not as safe as McAfee!!!Ask any serious net nerd!! Bear Thanks for confirming something I had guessed. When I first logged on the site tried to download an active X program. I pulled the plug straight away. I use an on line virus and spy ware checker and it always blocks this. Every time I look at the site a pop up comes up and says it has blocked some thing. It has never actually put a Trojan on my computer but then it could not get through my firewall. OK, I have a feeling this is nothing to do with Hillary's, as others have said, they would loose all credibility. However, someone is doing it. Maybe someone out to score brownie points, and as you say,a very amateurish attempt. May I point out. It does not stop you using the site just so long as you do not let it download anything and run your anti spy ware checker. This differs from just virus checkers. I pop in and look at the site myself, thereby scotching the myth that it is something us mods are making up to keep every one on this site. That is not the case. Just as an after thought, What would the words blinds, window blinds and so on mean to whoever collates this info?. I would imagine we all look at our competition in the papers and everywhere we go so it follows we would do the same on line, so what are they looking for? Red
