I have just been sent my log in details of the new site and logged on. I logged off straight away as the site tried to install software. I will not go on any site that downloads software without asking me first and explaining what it is for. Even then I will run a virus checker, a spy ware checker and all the other things that stop spy ware going on to my computer. I am not saying it is spy ware or any other such thing but without some explanation of why it needs to do this I am not prepared to let it adjust my computer. Also, why is there no log out button?

I think you'll find it is the ActiveX software you need to install. If it was spyware, especially at this early stage then it would be a very foolish thing for them to do.
So don't worry!!!!
The lack of a Log out button crossed my mind too!

l looked in earlier today, not impressed, didn't stay long.
And like you say no log out button. Only a handfull of spares on the site. Writting was small, may be my screen resolotion or something, but the writting was tiny. About a 1/4 of the size of this forums lettering. So all in all, not very user friendly, you can only order a few vertical brackets and 3 sizes of screws, can't read the forum as its too small. Can't log out. What will l use it for? l don't know!
Mind you it has taken them nearly a year to get that going, so give them time, say another 5 years and they might have got something half decent, oh, but hold on, who will be left in 5 years to look at it? Not many.

Very interesting! I have just tried to log on to this site. I use Mozilla Firefox (More secure then Explorer) and it would not open the site. Does my security know something we don't ?

It did ask me to download ActiveX in order to open the site. Have run 2 scans after several visits to the site but have found nothing wrong.

You should never download Active X unless its from a site you trust. Even then only if you have to. Do a deep root scan on your system and I mean deep root not just a basic scan. Go here [ftp]http://www.halcyon.com/mclain/ActiveX/welcome.html[/ftp]And look at the third block of text.
