I always specify 35ml brackets for use with 25ml vens. They are more bulky but lock much better than the 25ml brackets .

true, you can see them. But it's the same for 35mm ones and worse for 50mm.

Sometimes use the 35mm bkts for V25 blinds if fitting to the valance of a conservatory. The blind may still catch the hadles slightly, but customers prefer that, than the UEB that I use as a last resort.

If top fixing vertical, and louvres brush carpet high spot, change bracket for a 20mm pleated crank rail top fix. Raises blind about 5mm, has same effect as drilling rail and screwing through, but quicker and easier.
If measuring door for surface-fix tab blind, measure glass aperture, ignoring beading, and add 3cm. When fixing bottom brackets, just align centre of screw holes with edge of aperture. Saves measuring and marking out. Personally, I'll fit into the beading where possible. Neater and quicker fit as no bottom brackets to assemble.
When using L profile, drill 3.5mm and self tap UEB screws in. Much neater as they don't protrude out the back and very solid fixing.

Help!!!!! Does anybody know how to stop the bottom rail on an aluwood rusting? It is in a bathroom, so gets wet/damp frequently. Has anybody tried coating them to seal them, as the bottom rail is metal, not aluminium.

Has anybody tried coating them to seal them, as the bottom rail is metal, not aluminium. There is not much you can do to prevent this. The only thing I can suggest is to tell the customer not to let the blind fall the whole distance, keep it a couple of mills above the window sill. Red

Two facts.
Appointments are booked to soon with the customer. Seeing the customer the day after they ring is not good!
If they are getting quotes in and you don't discount by at least the highest sale amount, you will not stand a chance of converting.
