Counterfeit £50 Notes

To spot a counterfeit £50 Note do the following:

1.
Run your finger over the words 'Fifty Pounds' ..... if the letters are raised/rough it is genuine ... fake ones are smooth.

2.
The silver foil running vertically through the note MUST go through the triangle shape in the lower centre of the note ... even if it only goes partly through it, it is O.K..

3.
Place your nail on the back of the £50 note over the Triangle shape that is on the front & run it across a piece of paper.
If it comes off as a pink line it is genuine .... a fake £50 will NOT do this!

4.
Feel the paper .... this is not the best guide but may help.

If in doubt don't accept it!
