On this fine Saturday with not a lead or a fit in sight, can I add my tuppence worth?
The Forum should stay, for what its worth. I admit I have been a ranting git in the past and got bawled out for it, and then I saw it was asolutely useless trying to influence or communicate with Hillarys via this site or via the various programmes they dreamed up to address issues brought up in Ilkley and Reading. I had commission stole, clawbacks never explained, rudeness and ignored emails and unanswered phone calls to FSM's ( various good, bad ,awful ,useless, and s**thead--were my nicknames for the last 5 I can remember--2 of which I never met!)
I decided to stay self-employed, and to that end I am responsible for my own life ,and taking a leaf from Hillarys book I decided to "do-it-my-way". I was shafted for £976.00 by Hillarys--and I am now in a position where after 10 months since January when it all kicked off I can stste that I have got back that £976 TEN-FOLD.
"Thank you Hillarys" for showing me that by being underhand and duplicituous you can make more money than being "kosher and upfront" Thank you to the colleagues on this site (known and unknown) who have assisted me . I may well be leaving Hillarys before Christmas, as this year I will do Christmas at my pace and not like the demented fool of last year--but I will earn far more "my way".
To Blindsfitter and co who are rightly miffed at being shafted and who focus their anger rightly at Ross K I say "Ease back on the stick, lads, Don't get mad GET EVEN!" I reply to pm's sent to me--I'll say no more.
Life is too short to waste it on the Ross K's of the world. Learn from them. Do it your way ....and shaft them back in your own sweet way, and in your own sweet time!
REVENGE IS A DISH ALWAYS BEST SERVED COLD!

I can n ow stand back and watch Hillarys take their chosen course, and stay or leave as I please, and if they sink slowly in the west I will raise a glass at their passing. I really hope they don't sink, its always good to have a Co-op supermarket in a town , it leaves space for me to troll the aisles of Sainsburys.....if you follow my drift? ? just my own opinion, but we can go down two roads. 1. we ban hillarys IP and stop all from accessing from HQ - this is ok, but people could still join and visit from home. 2. we suspend people who are issuing personal insults, and get back to what the forum is really for. I just want people to understand that if so, the forum would cease. One flick of the switch and then everybody is worse off ! I don't mind people from HQ being on the site or just looking. I also don't mind if people don't want to 'come out' either. But, if personal attacks persist from 'anon' users then they will be warned/suspended and then banned if needs be. I feel that it is unfair to sling mud at people ( whoever it is ) without having the balls to say it face to face. If we banned people from Hillarys then what's the point in having the forum at all ? I'm sure that HQ has taken on board some of the positive things to come out of this and moved with it. The feedback will always raise eyebrows too. I remember sending out an email a while back as to if people felt the forum should continue. ALL replies were positive. Ask yourself this :- do we still want it ? Am I contributing to the bad feeling on here ? What can I do the change things for the benefit of all these are questions I have asked myself over the last few weeks too. Result ? the forum still lives on. think about it................ P. I agree with you motters. I don't think we should ban HQ accessing exactly for the reasons you give. Agree we should "suspend people who are issuing personal insults, and get back to what the forum is really for" but how do you stop them from just re-registering ? That is the reason I see that you have to validate members not to force people to identify themselves. I personally see no reason to hide my identity, I'll say anything face to face to anyone that I have/would say on here but if others want to hide their identity then it's fine with me as long as they don't use it to cowardly insult others.

Ive said this before so sorry to repeat but this forum has been the best thing ti happen to us for years ,yes we moan yes we attack yes we argue but we also help advise and let people know "its not only me" Ive learnt so much via this forum I would never have been told in a million years via Hillary's.The good defiantly outweighs the bad we have about 500 members if you put 500 people from any walk of life in a room they wont all get on thats what makes us individuals. Hillary's would just love this forum to fold think about it how isolated would we all feel again without it.

Your absolute right russell but my concern is that from 500 members the number that still visit has dwindled because of the behavior of a few therefore unless we can encourage them back the result is "Hillary's would just love this forum to fold think about it how isolated would we all feel again without it." If you think it over the very worst thing that could happen re this Forum ,now that Hillarys "ignore" it ( despite Roos K sneaking back each Friday pm to have a gander!)would be for it to do a "Phoenix" and gain agin the popularity it had, early doors. Is that the hugest and bestest incentive we could ever have to make it work, so why don't we re-market it, and defiantly try to regain the attention of those who came and looked and did not like what they saw maybe just one time? As Hillary have written it off, how on earth would they greet it a second time if members came back and it operated as we alll originally hoped. ? To this end I am going to contact over this weekend a couple of the "louder" members -2 of whom I know personally, and ask them nicely to ease back on the stick, as its getting them nowhere---no promises, but it is worth the time trying that, isn't it. If I have to slap a sh****ad or two, so be it, I was a Para and they wasn't. ( One of the loudest is ex Marine squaddie however, so that should be interesting!!!) I'll report back Tuesday Meantime I remain, One happy and contented" Bear"

Bear. I saw your post and thought of this tune.
Look for the BEAR necessities The simple BEAR necessities Forget about your worries and your strife I mean the BEAR necessities Old Mother Nature's recipes That brings the BEAR necessities of life
Wherever I wander, wherever I roam I couldn't be fonder of my big home The bees are buzzin' in the tree To make some honey just for me When you look under the rocks and plants And take a glance at the fancy ants Then maybe try a few
The BEAR necessities of life will come to you They'll come to you!
Look for the BEAR necessities The simple BEAR necessities Forget about your worries and your strife I mean the BEAR necessities That's why a BEAR can rest at ease With just the BEAR necessities of life
Now when you pick a pawpaw Or a prickly pear And you thingy a raw paw Next time beware Don't pick the prickly pear by the paw When you pick a pear Try to use the claw But you don't need to use the claw When you pick a pear of the big pawpaw Have I given you a clue ?
The BEAR necessities of life will come to you They'll come to you!
So just try and relax, yeah cool it Fall apart in my backyard 'Cause let me tell you something little britches If you act like that bee acts, uh uh You're working too hard
And don't spend your time lookin' around For something you want that can't be found When you find out you can live without it And go along not thinkin' about it I'll tell you something true
The BEAR necessities of life will come to you
All very apt and applicable to you dont you think. ;D

Has anybody considered that a few years ago we were actively discouraged from cont acing each other and that in the days of Albany, Wholesale & Hillarys we were definitely in competition with each other. Now there are over 500 of us able to communicate with each other (all be it anonymously) regardless of where we operate, and more to the point able to say what we feel. I think THE MANAGEMENT must find this a difficult thing to get their heads round especially as they have no real control of what is going on. This is why this forum must continue as it is the only way we can help each other outside the influence of management. My only reservation is that it must be controlled to some extent to prevent the sorts of outbursts of recent postings.

Hello everyone. As a new member i would like to throw in my support for this forum. Although not new to Hillarys myself it is good to be able to be in contact with others out there. As with any large company it is difficult for us on ground level to open and keep open lines of communication with more senior management. This does, has and always will cause us great frustration and at times anger. I too have suffered in the past with everything from missing blinds to clawbacks and can quite clearly see there is little more to add on any of these subjects. Keep up the good work and maybe i will become a regular myself. Cheers.

To all the staff. I am not trying to play devils advocate here but after a very low number of postings over the weekend are you concerned? I AM! Are you planning to make any changes? It could be purely coincidence but this comes after a really horrible week of unfriendly postings. Do you have any figures to show if people "loggin in" is up or down? Even if they never post. As i said before the longer we leave it the harder it will be to get back where it was. I write this because after initial comments on giving warnings e.t.c, nothing more has been said. Thanks in advance.
