Changing the theme from the tickle tackle between some of you advisors, which
This forum seems to be used for. Of which I get a bit sick of reading, lets get one
Thing clear no one advisors get treated by Hillary’s in the same way as other’s, that’s
A fact, we all do this job for our self’s, I personally couldn’t give a toss how good
A salesperson any body thinks there are or who their suck up too, the thing that
Hold us all back is the marketing, who don’t seam to have a clue what customer want, And what will encourage them to buy, so if anybody from marketing is
Reading this take note, the best info you could get is from the people out there
So why don’t you ask, my take on the sales is forget any 2,3 for’s and lets have
Something like

A selection of fabrics in A table with 25% discount
A selection of fabrics in B table with 33% discount
A selection of fabric in C table with 50% discount

This should give a better range of fabric to offer, better for stock rotation,
Easier for IT input on Sam, easier for customer to up grade, covers single
Windows and multi windows could be a national sale no need for local.

Well that my idea, I’m Shaw other will have other ideas, but what I do know is
We need something better than what we got.

Good ideas on the sale filo, i agree the marketing at Hillarys sucks.
Never do any new ideas come from them, its the same nuts different day version.

The Special Offers swatch will soon have more in it than the main book.

Good stuff FILO especially about stock rotation. How many times have we been frustrated by offer fabrics OOS.
I also believe we are seen as the DFS of blinds," they've always got a sale" attitude is rife among customers and although the offers are slighty altered through the year, in the public eye it does seem we are undermining the previous years of building up Hillarys name.
A few shorter," this month only" offers would, I believe, end some of the staleness and again help with stock rotation.

On another note its nice to see the normal, more friendly/constructive approach in todays posts.

Talking of OOS fabrics, today went to make a sale out of the new Roman presenter that I received last wednesday to find that the fabric the customer had chosen was not available since 13th August, nearly a month before I got it

Crikey ROYT your blowing the cobwebs off that question. I think it was only a matter of time before it went up. Not defending it but really what did £7.50 cover?
It was purely bad timing by Hillarys to announce this at the time that those invited were or had attended meetings with management and that is an unfair assumption for you to make.
