You're complaing of being stiff, . Seriously, if your headrails are stiff , try spraying with a silican based furniture polish and operating a few times. If its still stiff after that then I'm afraid its DOR time

As said if stiff when drawing then spray time. If you mean stiff when tilting this can be because starlock washer has been put on too tight making the pulley wheel jam against the end cap. Try loosening it off a bit but be careful you don't break the end cap. Can't say had many that have been stiff.

If its stiff when drawn back it maybe the cord having come off the wheel at the opposite end to the control I've had this 3 times this last month. Its just something that not always noticable not like the cord caught up between the carriages.

I loosen that washer at least once a day as the customer can feel the difference between 2 blinds and they call me back which costs time and money I wish they could get it right in the factory .

thanks everyone for your contribution and help re the stiff operation ,,but no one has hit the nail on the head... the problem is ..not the carriers or the trefoil rod or the star washer (although this is sometimes to tight)..hasnt anyone noticed the pulley wheel is now a one peice moulded wheel ( rather than a free floating spindle) and the 'axle' or spindle is fixed so when you pull the cord it tightens the wheel to the casing thus making it stiffer to operate usually on blind over 170cm with a heavier material ie lace..we will tell customer "dont worry it will free up in time" which it doesnt ,,and also we wont draw attention to the customer, cos of a potential dor and another visit. so hillarys think everything is ok..but its not..all of my competitors rails, that im aware of run ten times free-er than ours,,i suggest we have just got used to a lower standard,, been doing this for 7years i know im right................!!! there... i feel much better now' (should this have gone in the rant section?)

I am now having this problem also.
I had thought about going for delux headrails from now on as I'm still getting too many carriers on the normals rails.
