CLGI just had a conversation with an old customer. She said I sorry to hear you finished doing blinds. I haven't I said. Well head office said there was no agent in your area so go on the web and get your blinds. I was on holiday that week and she was disappointed not even to be offered a appointment when I return. This has happened to me lots of times now I must be losing loads of work and commission. Anyone else had this happen to them?

Hi everyone have you all been recieving you weekly mailer by post as i have not recieved one for about three weeks now ....... wondered if they have stopped it or maybe my postman has knicked them lol I think the reason the mailers have stopped is due to the change in post office costs which took place 3 weeks ago. The size of them would class them as a small packet and thats what they would cost to mail, a small packet. Don't really blame Hillary's for stopping them as it is a business after all. Once the new site is running I think that will do away with the need for most of the mailers anyway. Red

Red I,m just surprised how quick its been for someone at h/o to realise that by folding it in half, reduces the size and postage may be cheaper. as for the content more of the usual spin looking back at trading difficulties over the past year not at the difficulties that they have imposed on us all to help us run our agencys into the ground. also mentioned is christmas how to make it the best ever dare I mention clawbacks, maybe they have a crafty plan on how to take more off us(sorry to be negative)we will have to wait and see I wonder if they realise that there will be a lot of pis*ed off people at these meetings.

I got the mailer too today first for about 3 weeks i reckon the reason it is in a smaller envelope is a few weeks ago the Royal Mail changed its pricing policy to include size as well as weight.
I for one do not book fits at sale i always input in sam when i have zero availability ie sunday or evenings for fit time then cross it out on the customer copy and tell them i'll call them in 2 to 3 weeks with a fitting date this usually works fine but caught out on the odd occasion when the customer has miss heard me and phoned the office to clarify the time, then phoned back again when i havn't turned up Sunday beetween 6 and 9. The point of this is had i listened to the planks at H/O and booked my fits with the customer 3 weeks in advance to make way for the bumper sales week i would have been doing hardley anything this week. as it is i am still phoning customers booking in fits doing my self gens etc, with tommorow i have had 9 leads this week out of a possible 28 so far, my capacity is about 45 a week. Dont get me wrong 9 is ok but i thought it was a bumper sales week i usually get 8 to 10 on a Monday alone, I am full time and am happy with about 20 a week ( which i usually get) plus i have a few self gen.
I earn a pretty good living for doing a fairly easy job which is being made harder all the time by pratts in suits. Why can't they just listen to people on here the people who are on the front line, I read the messages everyday and just nod in agreemant with most of them. They tried the forums but honestly they just pay lip service what really has come of them ? (by the way i'm not Knocking anyone who attended i think you tried really hard) most of it is to Hillarys advantage, If they want to change something they will if not forget it wether it's 1 person asking or a forum of representative advisors.
At a meeting about 6 months ago there was a new financial director there, amongst many things the subject of self gen commision came up he said that after the forums a lot of things were being looked at and this one in particular was a no brainer six months on and still no new rewards package or even a mention of one who are the ones with no brains? Now ok i did sign up to the current commision rate and no bonus but if Hillarys are going to change things to suit them how about a bit in return, oh i forgot free sam paper, but surley they use less order pads which were always free and i pay for the priveledge of sending an order in on sam rather than using the free fax number, so what have they really given us for free?
And on the point of curling louvres get it all the time but never really noticed which fabrics but as most of you just tell the customer it will be ok in a couple of days and never had a call back, oh only for repeat work so must sort themselves out also same for the static problem try rubbing your hands gently down each side and also swapping louvre positions.
All you can do is work hard do your best and no one can knock you for that, but please Hillarys take note listen to your people on the ground and stop pi**ing people of this site is not just a few trouble causers stirring up trouble it is a real reflection of your work force.

Lack of leads ? due to only having one lead yesterday, i was at home for once when the delivery came. Out came my 6 bundles, and 8 boxes, usually have 5 times that. the van was still piled high with blinds. er, i thought i was the next to last drop i asked. Not now, 3 more to your colleagues in your town. 1 with 43 bundles 1 with 29 bundles 1 with 12 bundles. So is this where all the leads are going !? now i know i have said i was jacking in, but am i now being forced to,by the back door method, ie, starving me out. At least have the dignity to let me know straight up, so i can get on with my life.

farmer what you have to realise is that loyalty is a one way street with hillarys.no matter how much we put ourselves out to help h/o with the customers it doesn't matter a jot.
welcome to the real world of hillarys we don't matter and they don't care
