I've noticed a few recent posts on the forum about intended regional meetings, in one case complaining about having a longer journey, and losing more time, to listen to more spin.
Personally I quite like the idea. I've not heard anything official, or even through my FSM, so don't know whether the suggestion is fact or conjecture but, depending on how they were structured, this could be a positive development.
The quarterly county team meetings should be maintained (though the last one seems to have been skipped altogether) but an additional annual meet of all the advisors under one FSM could help to forge a proper team identity whilst also prompting friendly rivalry between counties, and even furthering the camaradarie built through this forum.
My FSM controls Oxfordshire (the best), Berkshire (nuff said) and Hampshire (waiting to be knocked off their pedestal) so a regional meeting would give me the opportunity to finally meet Des with his Blue Van (happy birthday, by the way), renew my acquaintance with Mark Russell, and put many other faces to names.
So bring it on - I'm all in favour provided, of course, that it is structured to allow proper two way communication. Who knows - if Hillarys pass that magic £ 100 million turnover they might even lay on the bubbly and thank us for continuing to turn in the results despite all the obstacles that they scatter before us.

Mike, excellent thought, but you are guilty of putting a tad too much faith in the other party...? Yes we can get intercounty rivalries going etc, but this is RossK/FSM initiative areas..is it not???. If we suggest anything in open meeting it will be surely squashed. --and maybe resurrected as THEIR great new idea 3 months down the line. If one of us does try and speak out they will give us the " Come and see me personally after the meeting"--which is tantamount to telling you you leads are to be cut for speaking out--happened to 2 advisors in this county and they are now competitors.....!!!! Regional meetings will be so regimented that none of us will be allowed to voice a word that doesnt follow the Company line--and as to promises of Directors of Hillarys showing their faces-- The only Hillarys Director I ever saw or met was Tony Hillary when he hired me near the end of the last century.!!!! There is no communication up and down the line now--it is so very sad..... Bear

Joy...don't know where you got that information from but hope we get informed officially before we start booking in fitting appointments for the relevant date(s). Also, it seems that they are not bringing counties together in 'FSM groups' - seems a shame and a wasted opportunity. Whatever....I'll wait for the 'summons' in due course.
