For the Third time i have applied for a Quantity of SAM paper , and still it does not arrive. Is this just me?
I suppose that non arrival , means it was never dispatched? I had a sneaky feeling they would just send me a sheet of SANDPAPER, but i don't even get that?
has anyone been able to aquire Contact adheshive (glue) from hillarys , i have a problem with rollers , on the shape (zig-zag) the shape itself becomes un-stuck , and d/o/r's are just the same . Am thinking i could do better with a tin of glue - but why should i pay for it! Comments from others appreciated.

has anyone been able to aquire Contact adheshive (glue) from hillarys , i have a problem with rollers , on the shape (zig-zag) the shape itself becomes un-stuck. I find that ordinary 'UHU' stationery glue works well on roller shapes and also on roller braid - it has the advantage that it dries clear so doesn't discolour in sunlight, whereas fabric adhesives (ie Copydex) dry white and discolour easily. I always carry a tube of UHU in the toolbox - costs about 90p and lasts me a year so not a lot of point in wasting time and money on the phone trying to get it out of Hillarys. Would also remind you all of the tip last month (can't remember who mentioned it but full marks to him) about 'Miitre Fast' from Screwfix - get rid of the silly plastic hinges on wooden valance returns and just glue the mitre joint. It's a great product and I don't know how I ever managed without it. Also, Russell swears by silicon spray - which you can get from Hillarys, its called Silspray - for freeing up sticky headrails, wood venetian cords that get stuck, etc - and its also great for lubricating the filos on roof blinds. If its not already in your tool kit you know what to do. Whilst we might choke on the fact that we have to buy these things ourselves, I think we have to accept that a 'repair kit' is part of the tool kit and that the savings in time and DOR return visits more than justify spending a few quid a year.
