sorry just read original post ,,its not in a recess is it ....i knew that..... I knew what you meant though, anyway I did manage to speak to Andy in Curv Verts at Washinton and he agreed that putting in a handle clearance would help the problem I am having so we agred a 5cm handle clearance, I'll let yer know if it fits, that's the fork andle then or were tehy forcandles?

speak to Andrew @ washington curved verts. he is brilliant. draw a diagram of what you want and fax it to him. Cheers Gloryboy I'll give him a call and hopefully resolve this as it's bin going on a bit now, thanks for the contact, I'll let you know how I get on. Dave Hi Ade - I had checked measurement B which was correct thanks anyway, it's driving me nuts.... However, one thought I did have was to put in a measurment for handles say 4cm, any thoughts anyone? Of course, I'll see what Andrew thinks too when I speak to him. thanks again Just to let you know that I have finally fitted this curved rail and even after all the problems the customer is over the moon. I did speak with Andrew and after a lengthy discussion the only option was to include a 'handle clearance measurement' - even though there were no handles - however, this done the trick and the rail now fitted using UEB, ooh yes am I happy this one is completed three curved rails later. Cheers again for the contact

Has that cost you £60 in DOR's though?

Has that cost you £60 in DOR's though? Not a present blinder as I think due to the ambiguity of the info in the handbook my point is this was a straight forward shape 1 curve not in recess and without any handle issues e.g they were integrated with the frame, this is why the 1st one did not fit, the outcome was I did need to put in a clearance for handles (5cm), even though I didn't require one. Perhaps the handbook notes needs to be changed to reflect this, but is this a one off? But now I know I will make the neccessary adjustment if I have another Have you had any issues like this with a curve rail - or anyone else for that matter - I'd be interested to know. Ade - You like fitting these how do you get on have you experienced this problem before?

The information in the hand book as regards a shape 1 curved headrails has never been that good. A 4 sided shape 1 bay is not measured the same as a 5 sided shape 1 bay.

I've only done curved shape 1's up to now so based on what your're saying grumperbear I guess I'll get advice before proceeding with any future curved rails, cheers for info mate

The book will only show you a 5 sided bay, so your "B" measurement goes straight against the middle (3) side. On a 4 sided bay, l find the middle of panel 2 and 3 and draw a line between these points. My "B" measurement is then taken up to this point and not into the corner.
l also never put down a handle allowance if its in a recess.

Business is in the doldrums - Very unusual for this time of year!
Just 3 appt's today (out of 8 slots available) resulting in 1 X Sale (£119 oh God - Customer spend so much!) and 1 X Quote , last one not even in . Will let Hillarys re-book that one and give to a specialist!
Just found out A.N. Other advisor is now on my patch . so as far as i'm concerned hillarys can FO ! No more doing other advisor D/O/R's and stuff for me !
Makes you wonder how they can advertise for new advisors and state 'earn £20-£30 an hour' (well its possible -if for only one hour a week!)
Not a good time to be doing Blinds at present !
