Hi Nonails
I'm really surprised to hear that your FSM has changed your availabilty to such an extent without your permission. This certainly isn't what they have been instructed to do and I find it hard to accept.
To my knowledge all bankholiday availability has been removed on mass and so it really is a mystery as to how this could of happened.
Not all changes to availabilty is due to your FSM. Due to system memory limitations diaries are rebuilt every few months using your base diary that is held in diary maintenance. This may be the cause, but I really would like to investigate this situation further as it is clearly unacceptable both to you and your customers.
To allow me to do this please call me tomorrow on 07770 646894.
Regards.

OPEN REPLY TO ROSS K'S POSTING IN RESPONSE TO MY HEARTFELT BLAST OF LAST NITE
RossK Thanks for coming back at least.
I have seen your posting, and the updated situation this morning is that my Diary has had several of the leads removed and others jiggled, but it still means I am supposed to work over a weekend that I had arranged off some time back. Apparently some punters forgot Monday was a Bank Holiday.
I see that "Diary Rebuilds" are programmed in every 2/3 months or so, and I now know that these basically re-boot the diary and delete any booked arrangements. Frankly this is appalling--if the Diary memory is such that every 2-3 months you delete all booked arrangements, such as mine, for the Company benefit then it is symptomatic of an appalling cavalier attitude towards the relations you assume you have with yoiur sales-force. I suggest you pop down to PC World and get a bigger chip for the Diary Computer. Fund the cost of it from the Stolen Commission from my account alone--my wife reckons over £400 quid has been withheld without advice from anyone in management over the past 3 years alone.
I have been with Hillarys over 7 years. I have just got my Annual Statement which shows you paid me gross commissions of over £20,000 in the past tax year. Not the biggest by far, and not the smallest, and but it represents over £150,000 worth of invoiced sales.
In street-talk---Why are you doing your best as a Company to piss me off? My mismeasures are far below the "standard" and most DORS I've had have been due to crappy manufacturing, damage etc etc.. I reckon from what I know that I am a good ,middle of the road journeyman advisor/agent, with a part-time fitter who gets on with it and who wants a fair pay for doing a fair job which gave me satisfaction.
That satisfaction rapidly turned sour about 2 years ago and has been in steep decline since .
Forums I thought might have been an opprotunity for a dedicated salesforce to get to relate to management what was actually happening up at the sharp end-as Company reliance on feedback from FSM's has progressively got you (corporately) into the mess you are currently in.
Forums took place , lots of good sounds, and hard triers like Hereticus who has had a few flesh wounds from me in his time have tried hard to get us all to sit and wait for things to happen.
I can list the improvements made by Hillarys in attempting to address our frustrations and worries and suggestions on the back of a first class stamp---and still leave room for the works of Shakespeare !!!
Frankly bugger all has happened!
The most important issue to many of us was Wooden Venetians and Stolen Commissions.
Woodens were on the way back, and are better, but the same product is on sale in B&Q locally at £29.99 for 150cms wide x 150cms drop this morning, with a cut down kit and stain included in a special Bank Holiday offering!!!!!!!!!
Bad wooden was costing Hillarys money so you fixed it, but
Stolen Commissions would have cost you money so you have swept it under the mat.!!!!!!
It alone is the festering sore which will drive you down--the resentment felt, and unstated by many of us, and by those who choose not to post here is phenomenal. Many advisors agree with us more strident folks on this site, but many refuse to post as they fear Trojans which sometimes come attached to mailed diaries, will relay back their identities to Colwick.
As for me I will not be phoning you Ross, as I had booked it as a day off. Two other advisors are going to do the leads I had forced on me.---Thanks folks, you can keep the commission as well.!
The main reason I will not be calling , Ross, is that historically nothing will happen. Either you cannot or will not enter into a meaningful discussion regarding Communication from Colwick to Advisors, and the continual use of spin and bluff which is now back in full swing after a 4 month lull.
As to discussing the Stolen Commission you will not do anything about that either, because the management do not intend to address it. They are happy to keep wearing their Accountant/Money bags hats and ignore the feedback which probably is well filtered before it ever gets near to them.
In this atmosphere of blind unfeeling unthinking, diary-rebooting, commission-stealing, spin and bluff I no longer wish to play any part.
I ,like probably half of your salesforce, have a second income.
I have had offers from 2 local companies to do blinds for them part-time, and I will now slide out of Hillarys quietly , as the rules are that if I ring you, and you think I am going to leave, then my account will get frozen and I won't get any money for 4 or 5 weeks despite doing the work for you, and then I will only get it if I badger Commissions and Finance Gofers and life is too short for that bollox.
I am sliding out gently, doing my fits, sales will get done on a reduced availability basis.
I will control the bloody diary not some air head , and then I will be gone.
Loyalty , RossK, is a two-way street.
Had I been shown some loyalty and some consideration over the past 2 years especially, then I would feel duty bound to reciprocate in the same manner.
In truth, all I have had from Hillarys is duplicity in communications, and outright theft of earned commission, plus things which irk me equally--like being told to go and fit 2 wooden venetians 16 miles away on a day I do not do that post-code, because the customer is very irate and threatening us with Trading Standards,--oh yeah?
I find in fact that the 2 blinds were to have been fitted before Christmas last--I had sold them-- Hillarys cocked up the deliveries I got them in my store on January 22nd, and I find that she had been given firstly 20% discount, and then another 10% .
All of this meant I had 30% knocked off my commission, incurred a 32 mile drive and in total 90 minutes out of my day, and was not offered a cent to cover my extra expense.
Why did I do it, ?
Because I had a loyalty to the punter I suppose.
But a smidgen of thanks or anything from Hillarys when I sent the FSM, and customer care, emails on the loss of money and exrta expense I had incurred all because Hillarys had cocked up the delivery promise --What did I get-Ross ??
I still await the answer!!
That Ross is why I am off.
Before signing off can I thank everyone who has sent me nice personal messages making sure I am ok, and being sure before legging it, etc etc Thanks ever so Its much appreciated. I will individually reply to you all in time.
The advisor who took one of this morning appopintments for me has just rung in saying ---You missed sod-all it was a " 3 for £99" wanted 3 x Acacia Beige all over 275cms wide and flung him out swearing at him all down the drive" Sort of house where they kept a pig in the kitchen to act as an air freshener."!!!
Ross --I won't even comment---GOODBYE
