To be honest with you I've just got a bit bored with selling blinds. I'll have a rest before deciding on what to do next. I am open to suggestions to where I can make more money for less work :-)

Blimey! Kandy!!
'More money for less work!' you say?
Although business/leads can be scarce at times the hourly rate we get ain't too bad. And generally it's not 'Hard' work.
The only alternative suggestion for you is: 1. Win the lottery 2. Print your own money 3. Rob a bank 4. 'Rent Boy'.
Never the less ... Sorry to hear you are going!
I may be following you very soon!
But! ... Not as a 'Rent Boy'!!!!

"Hillary's price, £65..(with 20% off, even though not on that fabric) =£9.54 commission Trade price £18. Sell at £40 and you have more than doubled your money! Hi Dibsdobs. Just a couple of points to add to your post. 1/ Do not forget that your overheads will go up as well as your profit. Eg, advertising, vat, indemnity insurance and so on. 2/ There is no way on Gods green earth that there will be any type of upgrade to the advisor's package. 14.68% is here to stay. Hillary's were taken over by a venture capitalist and the nature of the beast is to reduce costs and maximize profits everywhere possible so that the company becomes a more salable proposition to the next buyer thereby making them a healthy profit. That is what they do. Chase brothers though, as yet have never sold any of there acquisitions as far as I know so what that means for us in the longterm I dont know. Red

Red, Chase Brothers sold Hillarys over a year ago, at a healthy profit. Can't remember exact figures but bought around £50m, invested about £15m, sold for around £104m after around 18 months. Current owners are called something like CCT, who put in Mr. Risman.

Hi GVM I did know that but was not sure who had taken it over without doing the reaserch so I just put Chase brothers to save me the hassle. By the way, thanks for the info the other day. Will look into it soon. Red

I think I might have got my names mixed up - wasn't it Close Brothers, not Chase Brothers who were the first buyers?
