Sounds to me like diary booking saying yes we do them just to get appointment. I had one a couple of weeks ago where the customer had phoned up and asked if we did 'Cat Proof Blinds'. She was told we did as we had thought of everything! When I attended the appointment she asked me to show her our 'Cat Proof' range. Not surprisingly I looked rather blank and asked her what she meant so she explained the story. She said she was rather surprised when she had been told we did them as everyone else she had phoned had not been able to help. Just another case of get the appointment no matter what and sod the adviser's waste of time and fuel.

I have one booked for Friday night which I attended last Friday and also one for Knutsford, which is miles away. So two out of three for tomorrow night are dummy's. Now theres constructive use of my time. Well, they will insist on operating the GIGO system, wont they!! Nice early finish for me then. Red

Glen!
A 'Sakro blind' is actually a 'Sakro window' ... almost identical to a 'Velux' window.
My advice is ... DON'T sell a Velux roller blind or even the non-velux version as the taper of the wooden frame on Sakro windows means you won't get a proper fit on the side runners & you'll have the side pins popping out all the time. The fabric will also fall through the sides as they can't be supported by the side rails!!!
It is therefore better to sell a rectangular pleated roof blind for this.
It's also very quick to fit in either 20 or 25mm pleats.

Like velux, but not velux. So thanks. Saved me no end of grief. Will use the pleated as you say. Cheers

if they choose pleated don't forget if its a bedroom and they want a blackout affect pleated are full of holes so let light in.you don't want any call backs

Keenasmustard!
As long as you point out the downside of any blind to a customer BEFORE you sell it you should be OK! I will often write on the order form that we have had that conversation ... so no come backs!!
Velux's own roller blind range can let in far more light around the edges than a pleated is likely to do!
