Just noticed the Staff room ?? What happens in there then that needs to Bar the agents on their own site. Am I being paranoid or what ?? MM Have i missed something - wat is the point of a staffroom ? Hillarys staff do not visit here - Do They? |

Just to add, there are more and more GUESTS and INVISIBLE USERS on here now .......whats going on. Hi Owl, One of the invisible users is usually me. As I have said before, because I use a tabbed browser that is 24/7 it saves me logging off all the time, sorry about that. The other thing is visitor. This is just when someone has logged of but is still on the home page or is just about to log on. Hope this clears it up a little for you. Red |

Owl,
the staff room is for moderators, no access is given to anyone from HQ.
It's purpose is so that I can discuss forum matters without needing to post in the open as it's pretty basic stuff.
If somebody has steped out of line or if a mod wants to know exactly how to move a thread, then they can post details in the staff room and I can then help from there.
It's separate so the messages in there don't get lost or mixed in with proper business.
Think of it as a place where I think out loud, if I was thinking of doing or adding something then I'll post it there to get a quick reaction.
guests are just 'ghosts' in the machine when people don't use the proper navigation on the site. However there are still some people who have elected to use the forum but not have there name showing as online.
They are still quite visible when they have posted, so no real problems there ?

To be honest, there just wasn't the need for it before.
Now the forum has grown, I've taken on a couple more mods and wanted to make sure that we all sang from the same hyme sheet.
I also put the 'staff' room in off topic so to try and separate it .
Also, it's good to have a place I can post general rules and instructions for the mods, it doesn't need everyone to have access to it.

Anybody any details about Hillary's trade prices? e.g. how much for a 120 by 120 venetian? I don't have access to Hillary's trade prices yet. However a 25mm venetian of that size you can get for £32. A 35mm with colour co-ordinating top and bottom rail and cords at a cost of £29. All with free delivery! Hope this makes you feel better  |

All forums have moderators sections for moderators and admin only. lts how forums are run. On other forums only certain people are allowed into certain sections. Sometimes these sections are invisible to everyone except to the people who are allowed access.

Motters the general rules and instructions should be there for all to see. I'm not having a pop at you or any of the mods, you all do a great job, i just cannot see the need for there to be somewhere inaccessible for us all on our own forum. It just seems ..... not right. owl. We've ALL always had the facility to send each other private messages....... this is no different really.... just means Motters can tell us something in one message rather than send us all seperate messages, and then we all send seperate one's back asking what all the other mods think, and then Motters sends us a message back saying he will let us know when he has replys... and then we say thanks.... and then he says...no problem... and then we slag everyone off and go and sell some blinds!! ;D ;D See what I mean?
