In recent months my deliveries have varied dramatically.
In the past the driver arrived between 8am and 10am on the set delivery day . Usually i could be there to greet him , help him unload and ensure all urgent stock was there.
But now delivery times are all over the shop . Some at 6.45 am ( not too bad ) , Once or twice just after midnight , but a fortnight ago 3am was a bit much!
When i'm not around to assist , boxes are chucked , some get crushed , others bust open . It is very annoying! , especally when they are left outside to get wet!!!.
Anyway , i saw the driver this morning (7.30am) and he said some drivers have been sacked because of thier reckless night time deliveries ! Complaints had been phoned in and on occassions Police called , where neighbours throught stuff was being taken! ( obviously the crap woods going back - LoL)
During these last few weeks i left a roman blind out , fully labelled up for return , but it was never taken . The bloomin driver could'nt see the damned thing in the dark !, so i ask hillarys to provide us with reflective tape to bind the returns up, and florescent maker pens to sign 'em up!
Have we got a hope of that ? Or should we just buy it all ourselves?
Maybe the day will come when WE will have to collect the blinds from Colwick Towers . Will THEY be open at 3am ?
