What planet are you on Farmer I have been fitting these rails for about 3 months now and not 1 customer has made any adverse comments. With the competition that there is in the market place Hillarys has to come up with ways of keeping costs down or we will all be joining the benefits line.

Farmer is right about the new rails they are c##p. First rule of selling "know your competition". No competitor of mine is using anything so cheap looking. All the sales lines we used to use in the old days about our product being superior etc etc, have all gone down the pan! Its no longer true (if it ever was). In the words of that great oracle on life, Mr Homer Simpson... "It just gets worse and worse" Simpson..Risman .. hey there's a similarity there...doh! ;D If Sillarys need to cut costs, I can think of at least 10 jobs in middle management that are totally unnecessary! Replace them with someone who answers the phone and who knows what they are talking about, its that easy.

All i am saying is we can longer comepte by saying our quality is superior, to win a quote against another company. Its all down to who is prepared to work for the least amount of profit. that snookers us for a start, 'cos most other blind companies agents work on bigger margins than us, wether or not they pay for other things is irelevant. I was always taught to have belief in what i sell. well i dont with this rail, anything wrong with that?? same with the wood vens. Maybe i will have to change, and put my dont give a nuts head on, Hillarys seem to have.... Farmer, form planet, dont like the way we are going!

If i cant put over an opinion, whats the point of this site. All i am trying to say, is that we are no longer any better than any other company. eg, mike goldrick quoted 7 windows in my house, hopscotch vanilla, £400 ish we quote nearly £800. my f.s.m. told me to push the difference in the quality of the headrails, to win the order.... what would advisor angry have done here, what would your "pitch" have been farmer obviously not on the same planet........ ;D

Advisorangry, I have to agree with farmer and others on this one. They are not the best head rails around. Have you ever seen the Panther rail? Self aligning, slimmer and very sleek. Other quality companies are using this rail and it runs a whole lot smoother. Does not cost a lot more either.

Advisorangry
The rails are inferior to all my competitors.
They are inferior to our old rail.
Their introduction as an improvement has been a Sillarys spin.
In reality it is another "cheapening of the brand",
and you obviously have not been selling blinds long enough to see that!
ps...My sales pitch is fine £33'000 last month......and you?

I dont post much, one of the silent majority who logs on mainly to read what others are writing.
I am appalled to read tonight that we are now arguing and name-calling with each other, over a headrail of all things.
Come on guys we are all in the same boat, surely we dont need to get personal. Its not about the sales pitch or how much you sell each week, its about having the respect for each other as we are all trying to earn a living despite Hillarys interference.
I for one would not continue to log-on if this trend was to continue.

dont you all blame hillarys for your lack of performance red you do about 2k per week by your own admission and dumbnuts did 2347 last week by his latest kpi figures mmmmm i sold a roof and 2 shutters today at 5715 Only to a certain degree I concur. We are all at present selling on Hillarys reputation. This can only continue for an indefinate period if this practice of cost cutting and cheapening continues.
