Enjoy this folks before they close the loophole. I have an evening appointment booked for the 27th of this month. A new customer. I went to 'Self appointed' in SAM , put in the postcode and hey presto the address. A quick look in phonebook and I can rearrange if I wish.

Brazil...... you just need to change the date on SAM settings to get all the details (including phone numbers) of customers booked in advance.

Cheers IMPORTANT: Before carrying out the following procedure please ensure you are in a good mobile signal area. Exit SAM, by selecting Tools > Exit and Tapping Yes to the warning message. Tap the Start Flag then tap on Internet Explorer If the page above does not appear, type sam.hillarys.co.uk in the white URL box then tap the green go arrow to the right When the page loads tap on the SAM Update link. Tap Download. If this screen appears, Please enter the information below User name = samupdatePassword = newver2upTick the Save password boxTap OK to continue When prompted with the download box tap on Change. Select Storage from the location box and Tap OK A grey bar with a red Ä on the right hand end, and a slowly tracking blue progress bar will appear on the screen The update wizard will launch after around 3 minutes. Tap Finish. The progress wheel will appear for a few moments If you receive this message then tap OK, Otherwise skip to Step 11 If you receive this message then tap OK, Otherwise skip to Step 12 Now restart SAM by tapping on the start flag and selecting SAM, you will be prompted to upgrade the database, Tap OK. Now restart SAM by tapping on the start flag and selecting SAM, you will be prompted with the reference update, Tap Accept. The reference update will take around 5 minutes. Please tap the screen occasionally during this time to prevent the device going to sleep. The process is now complete, a message box will appear asking you to tap OK to activate SAM, Tap OK you can now use SAM as normal. Red

Like the new SAM updates. Customer notes on front screen - also shows my fit notes correction of customer details from front screen (how may times did I forget to do this at the only opportunity before?) quick change to quote all roof pleated
bit disappointed no multiple blind colour change, thought that was coming on this update, but perhaps I got it wrong

Doing a lead early doesn't release the time slot in the same way as doing a fit early does. If you do one, and would like CLG to put another lead in, you'll need to increase your availability. Believe a fix is underway

It does allow you to regroup your apps in a better geographical order. My postcodes are 25 miles apart.

The info supplied with the latest update says it is prefered that we leave SAM on the 'Hello' page overnight whilst charging. This I beleive is that the daily update is not then required.
However, since doing this I can't get my SAM to switch on/light up in the morning unless I do a 'soft reset'.
Anyone else having the same problem?

If SAM does this and doesn't light up, then look closely at screen under a bright light and click on Settings, then backlight, and check to see if the BRIGHTNESS has reset itself down to the minimum setting!! Mine did until I got a fix from Hillarys..... Bear

I have always done a soft reset every morning. Far less embarrassing than doing in the customers house !

Yes Phugly
I have also found SAM slow since the update, and it is really bugging me.
Here's a question for you:-
What happens in a few years when all our printers are nackered, will we all have to buy another one?
Hillary's should be suppling the printer and all paper as part of the kit.
