Hiya to everyone. Just completed the 2 day foundation couse today and have just become a fully fledged advisor. I have got everything apart from a diary. I am aware that in another 6 weeks I will go on theSAM course and get the PDA, but until then how do things go. I assumed there would be a hardback diary with all the kit I received today, but there isn't. How do you bok your availability?. Or do I have to wait to be contacted by my area manager?

Welcome Mcclegg.
If you don't yet have SAM, I can only assume that you you will have a paper diary set up with your availability, and that it will be either FAXd or e-mailed out every night, depending on what you have arranged. Your FSM should set up you avalability after consultation with you and set up the post-code areas you will be covering on the central booking system.
What general area are you in. (or you can keep it quiete if preferred).
How did you hear about this site.

Just to say welcome.
You will find us a helpful bunch on here. Ask any questions however simple you might think the are, I wish this forum had been around when I started as you can feel on your own if the first few months.

A big welcome from me too McCleg.
You will find this forum a wealth of knowledge, anything to fitting verticals to handling customers - you will find it here.
This is one of the main reasons I set up the site - To help eachother and to make sure new advisors get the best start possible.
The training is still nothing like 'doing the job' so it's up to you to find the best way to do things.
It's in everyones interest for you to do well, it really is ! ! !
So, we are here to help and don't worry about asking any questions - I'm 8 years in and still learning new things all the time.
Regards
P.
