My 2 daughters ( aged 18 and 22) are doing a sponsored parachute jump in May, in aid of the Lymphona Charity, to raise money and awareness of this cancer.
Their best friend, Melissa, aged 22, (a girl I have known since she was 4 years old), is suffering from it, and the girls are trying to do their bit to help.
I have asked Hillarys advertising dept if they will sponsor them to wear a Hillarys T-Shirt , with the guarantee the Hillarys name will appear in our local paper along with the photos of the girls in the T-Shirts.
(They have a friend who works for our local paper.)
So......... If anyone would like to sponsor them, and support this cancer charity, we would be very grateful.
Please pm or email me directly (joy.hodge@ntlworld.com)
I will post the photos of the event if Hillarys agree to sponsor them as a company.
Thanks......
Joy Beckie and Laura XXX

Put me down for a fiver Joy. Just let me know where to send the money. Red I'll match that ! Hope Hillarys come on board and do the decent thing. Had a few jumps myself when I was younger - fantastic experience - and before any comedian comes in with innuendo then yes the skydiving was fun too. Thanks Hereticus.....

I have just had a reply from Hillarys re my request for a donation to my daughters parachute jump for cancer research....... Am I suprised??? Mmmmm.... ___________________________________________ Dear Joy Hodge Thank you for your recent letter regarding your appeal for sponsorship for your parachute Jump Hillarys realise that charitable organisations rely on donations from companies such as ourselves and therefore we take our Corporate Social Responsibilities very seriously. As I am sure you will understand, Hillarys receive many requests of this nature, from both our own employees and from numerous local and national charities. Unfortunately Hillarys are unable to offer our support to them all. Therefore Hillarys have established a Community Policy, which upholds our company brand values, so that any fund raising or charitable activities can be conducted without bias. Our employees have voted to concentrate on two charities, a local branch of a national health charity and a local branch of a national children’s charity. Hillarys promise that all our charity support, which will not necessarily always be financial, will be directed to these nominated organisations only. Hillarys are sorry that they are unable to offer their support on this occasion. We would like to take this opportunity to wish you every future success in your fundraising efforts. Yours sincerely. Sue Bucknall For Hillarys Community Committee

Not unexpected!! It would have cost them money, and money to Hillarys is FAR MORE IMPORTANT than anything an Agent might come up with, even for such a good cause.
Joy& Mik please pm me your address and to whom I will make £10.00 cheque payable, as I will contribute £5.00 from me, and another £5.00 on behalf of those those swine in Colwick who have now shown their true colours! Frankly, they are beyond reproach---even £100 would have done. If you had been a customer and rung up and complained you would EASILY have got that off an order........... If Hillarys went on fire tomorrow I would not even p*** on it to quench the flames!!! Bear
