Few problems with al. venetians, rollers or verticals. Fitted 6 of the new Delta headrails yesterday, (even though we don't officially have them here) and actually smoother running than the 8 normal ones fitted at next call. Not done a split opening yet, which I hear is a problem.
SAM has reduced my DORs, eliminated queries, sped up commission payments
Had a call from service support saying blind missed delivery, do I want it sent by carrier? Arranged for Saturday delivery - can't ask for better service than that

Romans almost always spot on! is it me or are there small changes being made to venetian headrails? fitted 35mm wood ven today blind as good as i've had in long time, valance needed trimming though but i'd rather do that on every one and have the blinds working properly than the shambles we've been getting recently.

Today, fitted 2 Verts, in Hereford, almost every louvre needed the hanger cutout trimmed, and one rail had scratches and a bit of a growth on the face all sprayed over. On the same order of the 2 Venetians, one still had the protective film on the top and bottom rail. The other the slats were offset from the top rail, ie the slats are not in line with the rail, overhanging one end, resulting in being short at the other. Nothing DORd.
The next fit was 6 Vens in a CN. These were originally to be fitted on Monday, but the day after ordering the customer asked if the colour could be changed. No problem with that, but the job was left in suspension, instead of being released, and didn't make the delivery. Was picked up, manufactured and arranged to be sent by courier to arrive Thurs. Arrived ok, but Hillarys no longer send by guaranteed delivery before 10am as they used to do. However, 4 of 5 blinds were sent with 25mm brackets when 35mm brackets were requested; the 6th blind (for a door) was requested with hold down clips that were not supplied and controls were requested at 70cm and made standard length. Again on 2 blinds the protective film had not been fully removed. Luckily I carry spare brackets and hold down clips in the car. Will raise DOR for replacing parts.
And in reply to GBoy the profile seems to have changed on Ven top rails, they are more square.
I generally find the cut or makeup of Roman blinds always seems to pull in below the top rail and not corrected by gentle pulling accross the width. Not always noticed by customer, so seldom DORd. Wooden valances generally always need to be trimmed, but useful when the walls are not square.
The new rails for delta 7 verts seem more flimsy, and I still have most split bunches nolt pulling back evenly, leaving a gap at one of the ends. Have also noticed that cording of these blinds are different from the old ones, with the ends of the pull cord knotted at the non-control end, with the gold fish weight at the control end. But the re-alignment feature works much easier.
At the moment Rollers and Romans are generally the best supplied products. And delivery times on most products is much reduced, sometimes arriving with the next lorry.
