Weekly mailer says not to lose a sale on awnings, as Shadewell can fit almost anywhere. Not only that, but Shadewell have a system where the projection can be equal to, or even greater than, the width. They call it the "little big'un" or something similar, and the arms fold one under the other, rather than side by side. You'll need to get a special price though, as it's a more expensive system. As a guide I quoted one at 2.5mt wide with 3mt projection at £2,350. Didn't get it, but at least we now have a solution.

Glad you posted that. Didn't see anything about that so dug mailer out again and realised I hadn't look on the back of the paper !!
Good news as long as not hard work getting the info.
Cheers for your post, BW

There were obviously limitations, and it required a 4 rather than 2 man installation team. Problem I encountered was customer wanted to cover 3mt deep conservatory then extend another 2mt giving a 5mt projection. Again, it can be done, but only by putting spreader plates INSIDE the house to prevent pulling the outer wall out. Not really a solution for the domestic market

I've had 2 orders canceled today due to late delivery, totaling just under £4k.
Anyone else had the same, or have I just been unlucky on choice of fabrics?

Well, I have to hand it to DK, he's recovered both of these orders. Both suffered out of stocks and a lot longer than 3-4 weeks delivery, but nice to see I haven't lost £4k after all ;D ;D
