Hi All
What do the rest of you do in the following situation.......
I've measured a roof this week where there are decorative bosses on the coving where the angle of the roof changes e.g, on a 3 or 5 facet conservatory. These all interfere with the lowest potential position of the bottom blind rail and make measuring difficult.
This often happens in right angled corners but here I just cut the boss to suit. These "interim" bosses with obtuse angles are not so simple and I was wondering if any of you have a system for dealing with this.
Hope this is clear enough

What I did was use L profile along the bottom, but upside down. The flange that screws against the roof beams slid behind the bosses, making it difficult, but not impossible to screw through. The top flange juts out above the boss, leaving you a conventional shape. You do get a small amount of sun shining through Hope that helps.
