i've been to a customer today who wants a vertical blind fitted in his window(no problem) the snag is the window has a semi circle arch in the middle two pains.(diameter 87cm) he wants a pleated blind to sit on the vert headrail and to fan around from left to right. if he cant do that he would accept a pleated blind (pleats running vertically which he said he could velcro onto the window frame just to cover the glass. do any of you pleated wizards have any idea if hillarys can do anything for him or a name at hillarys i could contact.

Kevin Beardsley is the man to talk to. At worst he may back up Brazils comment.

Kevin Salmon is the man to talk to in pleated - but I'd still walk away from this job. What you have to consider is - how much time are you going to spend making it look acceptable, and how many times are you going to get called back to dress it?

Walk away.
I have ordered roof blinds larger than required and then cut them to fit obtuse angles which Hillarys dont do. Those that are reading this, the blind becomes a fixed one as it cant go up and down, but does cover the one pannel which would have lost the sale.
But I am not part of the chosen few, so no need to this again.

Anyone help with this please. Fitted loads of 20mm rectangle roof blinds before. But one of them today as i pulled it up to the top rail it just kept on sliding back down to half way. I adjusted tension, master pleat, checked all cords/filos so nothing was catching or stuck but no success. There was 4 the same size, it looked no different, plenty of pleats on it. Im baffled or am i going mad? Any suggestions?

Hi Dolly Have you checked the tension (side) cord isnt snagged. What I usually do is pull the spring out of the rail and if that makes a difference just mark the cord furthur back then take the bottom rail out and re-tention it. If you have a narrow blind you may have to take a bit up on either side of the spring. After marking I usually loosen the filo to make things easy.
Hope this helps

I had similar 0nce, and there were 10 pleats too many in.
