Don't know if everyone does this but I always add a couple of cms if I can to the drop of these so they come down to the sill without a bounce !

that ok but what do you do when the customer insists that the blind is too long surely this becomes a dreaded mis measure?

what does a 'mis measure' mean ?
Just kidding, really if you only add on a little to the freehang then as long as it comes down to the sill they could never say it was too long.

Has anybody else noted that the cording system on 25mm freehang pleateds has changed ? I had to re-cord a blind yesterday (accidentally cut a cord when trying to remove the red warning triangle which had got hopelessly tangled), and found that the cord ends are all joined together and retained in a new style bottom rail end cap. Also the cord lock design has been changed and retains the cords much better.
These changes seem to be a very definite improvement BUT it means that the spare parts I am carrying are now obsolete. If you are ever called on to re-cord pleateds (either as repairs or to avoid DOR's) I suggest you get an order in now for parts for your spares kit.

Had one blind fitted with 4 raise cords, fail as the "V" in the end cap that locks onto the knotted cords, had cut clean through one of the raise cords.
