Roman Bracket Probs

Had problems recently with roman brackets.

The locking arm/bar will not pass the screw when top fixed?
There is no play at all in the lever to allow it to pass the screw.

Bend it slightly and it does not lock!!!!!!

Anyone else had this lately?

Yeah I did notice this on some recent Romans I put up but didn't think much about it though, so I will look out for next ones
