Just a bit of fun but, to adopt a favourite form of over simplification as used in the media - what have we got on this forum :
BEARS (sorry Bear, not necessarily slotting you here, just coincidence) – the few who have Hillarys branded as outright enemies, have the company firmly in their sights with a finger on the trigger, and don’t intend to take any prisoners.
CYNICS (some of you might say realists) – those who blame all their misfortunes on the company, believe Hillarys can do no right and, even if and when changes start to filter through, will still distrust the motives.
CENTRE GROUND – disenchanted with past history, hopeful of change but reserving judgement and keeping a low profile until they see some significant improvements.
BULLS (including me and many of the advisors who attended at Reading and Leeds) – firmly believe that the company are genuine about advisor feedback and open to change, and eagerly awaiting some positive developments to vindicate the stance that they have taken.
HILLARYS FAN CLUB – believe the company can do no wrong – OK, only joking !
And finally, of course, the SILENT MAJORITY – watching and waiting but staying firmly on the fence.
We know nothing of the thoughts of the silent majority but from those who post regularly I would guess that we have a spread of 5% Bears, 25% Cynics, 60% in the Centre Ground, 10% Bulls, and no applicants for the Fan Club. Some people will never change but I hope over the coming months, as a result of Advisor Online and the feedback seminars, we will see some of the cynics moving into the centre ground, and some from the centre ground becoming more bullish (what, still no applicants for the fan club ?), and it will be this gradual shift which will indicate whether we have actually achieved any progress.
