The word Forum was certainly used but only the Forum of the chosen On Turnover length of service, Did not see mention of Geography. Cant speak for those who attended the Southern meeting but I was at Leeds & the geography of advisors attending was certainly spread at that meeting. On Service, yes we may have had some time with the company but then again we have in that time seen good & bad so can speak with authority & experience. As Ross & my FSM know well, I can speak my mind & will not take poor work, communication lightly, and am prepared to speak my mind but also making certain that I have the full facts at my disposal to back what I say up. So as for being chosen & one of the few I can't see where you are coming from. I posted my views on an earlier site on return from Leeds & made the comment that Rome wasn't built in a day. Hillarys is a much larger organisation than it was fifteen years ago & some of our issues will not be addressed as quickly as we may well like. What we have put up with has gone on for long enough so a little longer is going to make no difference. I do accept though that some briefing as an update should be made & soon as to what has happened, what has to be done & timescales as & when available & am sure RK will address this after Farmer has spoken to him. We do want winds of change but don't expect a hurricane!!!Yet!

Can I suggest that those of you who are feeling impatient about the recent meeting that you take up Hereticus' offer by emailing him for a copy of the 'Dosier' he put together on our behalf. It really is a 'good read', ..... totally 'how it is'!!!!! Then consider that it will take time for it all to 'sink in' with the 'Brass' at Hillarys ( a slow process I'm sure! ) .... You will appreciate then that when ( or 'If' ) they do something about it it will be for the benefit of all. If they don't .... there WILL be a mass Exodus!!!!! So get emailing!!!!!!

OK - first breaking news from advisor feedback, nothing earth shattering but a small sign that we have been listened to and that things are starting to go forward :
- the 'welcome pack' and discount voucher, which often arrived with customer's before their first order had been fitted, has reportedly been stopped.
- SAM appointment diaries are being modified to give full customer information two days ahead, rather than just next day, with effect from the next software update in March.
- all advisors will receive a summary of the advisor feedback seminars in the next couple of weeks, and advisor feedback will be a major topic at team meetings scheduled for February / March.
OK - its only crumbs so far, but these are definitely things that we fought for and we have now got a suitable response.
Still no news of publicising this forum to those advisors not yet on line, but the team meetings will give us all a chance to carry out our own local lobbying.

On top of that I have so far in the past week had: 1. Email from FSM saying he wished to contact us all re-availability ( It was ruined slightly with the usaul "I may be forced to increase your availability for you" ) 2. Had phone call from FSM to 'ASK' if I could increase my availability. 3. Emailed everyone that Ads were going in local paper for new Advisors but would not affect anyone. 4. Emailed me back within same day to query which areas are being covered. ( Still a little vague but still put my mind to rest ) 5. A little more open with information in the latest mailer from H/O.
So it seems small changes are taking place!!!!!!
As 'H' says ... we need to promote this site at the next sales meetings.

H Herticus Thanks for the DOSSIER, No wonder it will take time to respond it takes a while to read and digest alone . I think that there were probably some surprised faces among those who read the document at h/o. Cries of " Oh that cant be me I dont treat MY agents like that " could be heard in the corridors of power. Well done to all those who went the extra mile. I think anyone who has any doubts should read it. I cant see anything that was representative of all our concernt that was omitted. I will perhaps be a little more patient . On this front anyway. MM

All 23 Advisers that attended Reading or Leeds should have receieved today the full document that Hillarys have produced following the two Seminars. As far as I can recall, it covers all of the points made at the meetings with no obvious omissions. The contents of this document was promised to the Advisers that attended first, and apparently will be made available to the remaining Advisers through the weekly mailer and the upcoming Team meetings. As has been said before, don't expect immediate changes concerning everything, but changes are happening progressively. I hope one of the more computer conversant folks will scan it and get it onto this forum. I feel sure that the will to improve is there, but like everything else in life, you are dealing with people.

Does anyone know WHY h/o won't allow us to see all diary bookings? It seems we're being treated like irresponsible children, but maybe they have a reason I'm unaware of.
The whole thing is academic anyway - we all know how to change the date on the PDA and view and use whatever lead we want to.

Have received and read Dossier submitted to HO. Many thanks hereticus for sending it to me so quickly. I am really impressed by the proffesional way in which this has been presented and feel that it must have raised a few eyebrows of senior management in as much that they must now realise that they are dealing with people who have as much if not more experience than they have in running businesses, and that they must now surely take note that what is being proposed is serious and has been proposed by people who although they are only running small businesses in comparison to Hillarys are actually running businesses that make Hillarys what it is and without them there is no Hillarys. Do they really want to have an employed sales force. I think not!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having read the 'dosier' submitted to hillary's from Mike Dyer , i can only agree with each and every point made .
There is no excuse now from Hillary's as a caring company not to re-act positively and indeed swifty to this factual presentation.
Mike has gone the extra mile to deliver this very professionally . I applaud his efforts . In fact......
I would like to propose Mike Dyer as our forum spokesman , that in an official capacity he represents us.
Mike , would you take this on ?
Who will second ( and Third ) me on this !

Why do we need a spokesman? Aren't we all capable of speaking, whether it be on this forum, which is monitored by Hillarys, at team meetings, or directly?
First, we must get some response from Hillarys, hopefully positive but any response would be nice. If they decide that the meetings should become a regular occurrence, I would suggest that half of those at the last meeting (say 5 for arguments sake) and 5 new advisors attend, then the first 5 drop out for the 3rd meeting, and so on. This would give a blend of fresh views and continuity. Unless of course, people are looking to form some kind of union or advisors representative committee, which is what I got out of large company working to avoid.
