Thanks gray van man but yes i have checked. my usual call time is 4 - 5 mins waiting for support to answer and then 10 mins to get them to log details. I phone an ave of 5 times a day to Hillarys and spend a month 350 - 400 minutes on the d**n thing just raising issues. Cross network is always a lot and i avoid it like the plague or is it bird flu now? That's a lot of call time. Wouldn't it be handy of we could send and receive text messages from service support? The technology is there, think how many SMSs we got about 3/£99 clearance fabrics. Would be handy from call centre as well, notifying us of cancellations. I never answer my phone when talking with a customer, voice mail costs money to retrieve but a simple text is free and can be read when back in van. A slight variation on your theme would be to put out of stock fabrics on the website as well for easy reference when with a customer. Save you carrying a bit of scruffy paper with you. Red

Ask the customer if you can use their phone and tell them its a free phone number. They never complain especially if its for their own blinds. Red

I think most of us can't see why you'd phone H/O so much anyway!!! ? I contact them no more that 3 or 4 times a week at most ... & then it is by email!!! Even urgent problems don't warrant running up such high phone bills. Email them, let them come back to you. It may take an hour or so or even a day .... but please do yourself a favour & stop wasting money.

Lesroman why the hell are you calling ho 5 times a day? My sam bill usually £15/month and yes I do use the phone as well usually about 60 mins/month. My motto with mobiles is only use the d**n thing when absolutely necessary let others contact you on it. And I am full time but use freephone no. to ho from a landline only.

Lesroman Why dont you set up e-mail on your PDA. That way you can send an e-mail marked urgent and get them to ring you. Then you have done your bit and probably saved a shed load of money. Like others I only use 0800 or e-mail and copy in anyone else you think might make a difference. Seems to get results for me.
