So, we are returning back to the original posted statements!!!!
I always thought a company had to supply a formal statement anyway!!?
All we need now is for Hillarys to return to what they were doing 4 years ago when everyone was happier & the company saw an annual growth.
As said before - 'Do what you always did & get what you always got' ... OR ... 'If it ain't broke, ... don't fix it'!!!!!

As said before - 'Do what you always did & get what you always got' ... OR ... 'If it ain't broke, ... don't fix it'!!!!! So will we be getting all the commission that has been stolen, and clawed back since they went the IT route---I doubt it!! I must agree with the previous comments regarding the fact Hillarys seek to avoid any claim such as car damage, lost keys. etc etc.. I have just had a replacement driver ( my own is on hols) come on the wrong day and dump the blinds behind my house on the patio!!!!!! Not even a note ( nor an invoice through the door!!) I get back at 6pm and wife gets back at 6.30---young son goes to put his bike away at 9pm and asks why all the wet boxes are piled up at the back by the bin?? I go out to find a complete delivery sodden by thundershower, and spend an hour rescuing what I can... verticals in bags are ok as are vert fixings, metal venetians will dry not too bad Romans are ok as plastic bubblwrap has kept them dry. But Rollers 12 of them are damaged.. I ring up yesterday morning to be told that the blinds had been put in my store according to the drivers delivery docket( ) so any damage must have been caused by me, Was my store leaking--in which case ita an insurance claim?? Does that mean £25 quid a blind as there are now 12 dor on ordwer we are talking £300 quid here..... What does DOR stand for DEFECTIVE ON RECEIPT --I thought??? Hillarys think different!!! It s only me---well bollox I rang the FSM and left a message a to ask if they could come round and confirm the position---still await a reply--as always.... So Hereticus are they being fatuous again I guess so One day that "Hillarys loyalty and trust" gene that drives you will give out mate and you will get as pi**ed off as the rest of us Why is doing Hillarys business so bl**dy UPHILL? Totally unacceptble. Order the replacements as Defective on receipt, If the FSM or Ross Useless K can't / won't handle it ,then email Riseman and copy in the 3 of them as well as accounts dept, and be sure Despatch challenge the driver. If Hillarys try to charge you one red cent that is grounds for a national strike......... There comes a point where you draw a line in the sand and that should be it.
If a crappy company employs cowboy drivers who lie on their delivery manifests, you expect them to lie to you and get you to cough up as that is the Hillary ethic and ethos.
No more..
Thank God I have an exit planned, this Company is "pants"

And you can count me in on that too. I won't necessarily prescribe to reprisals because they usually don't work anyway and we would suffer more than the company, but sure as hell I am totally behind you in pursuing this one all the way. I have had similar situations with careless and thoughtless drivers in the past, but have never been told to suffer the loss for their incompetence. Challenge this with all your might and, if you meet resistance, point out that the advisor network is right behind you.

I was happy getting the commision statement by e.mail it meant less paperwork to clutter up the room and i could keep all my monthly receipts i.e. Tracking report, leads from hillarys in one monthly folder on the computer, I feel sorry for you dodgybracket this brings home how unfair this new fine of £20 is to us, as it wipes out our income and like with you no fault of our own, our regular van driver has left Hillarys and we now have a new one he just dumps the blinds in the garage all over the place unaware that he may cause damage to them he has also not left the invoice envelope so no invoices that is a nightmare, phoned for replacements THEY never arrived GOOD LUCK dodgybracket

If they insist on you paying this fine then I would just go and fit the ones you have now whether damaged or not and let the customer take up the complaint. I am sure they wont pay if the blinds are not fit for the job and you would soon get replacements. It should never get to this point though. You are Hillary's customer and you did not get the blinds in the condition you would expect them to be in. It is not Hillary's fault either but it is up to them to pursue a claim against the driver of the van or his company. Personally I would just ring each one up separately as a dor and say they have marks on them then tread on the ones to be returned and put big footprints on them. Seems a stupid thing to have to do but we all have to make a living and when needs must. I am sure though that if you find the right person at Hillary's you can get it sorted, its just finding that right person. Red

Red....disagree with you on one point - where you say it is not Hillarys fault !
Of course it is. It is their job to deliver the blinds to advisors, following any standing instructions regarding delivery to garage / shed / lock-up or whatever, and to ensure that they arrive in good condition. If they choose to use sub contractors to do this then they must ensure that those contractors understand the need to have due respect for the product, the advisor, and the advisor's property.
Hindsight is always easy but, in an ideal world, the advisor would have taken a photograph of the blinds as left in the open and damaged by the storm - as evidence to support the DOR's and also to prove that the driver is a liar. Perhaps this will occur to all of us in any future similar situations.
I actually had a contrasting experience this week. A new / relief driver on my delivery route was running six hours late (we were given no warning) and arrived at my lock-up to find that Despatch had not given him the key. Instead of doing something stupid he took the trouble to track me down by phone and, by the time I could get to him, had been waiting in his cab, in horrible heat, for more than an hour. Obviously neither of us was too happy - he was badly delayed and I was inconvenienced - but we ended up having a laugh about it and he went on his way in good spirits.

.............. Challenge this with all your might and, if you meet resistance, point out that the advisor network is right behind you. Sorry Mike, but I don't think this would worry them. "thingy Turpin" has successfully driven a wedge through the vocal advisors with threats via FSMs, and blamed the people who attended the meetings for increased mismeasure and PL costs. I think he would see the threat of "the advisor network" as just another challenge and opportunity to shaft us.

I noticed a recent commission statement and bank credit varied by £20. When queried, I was told the £20 was for 2 tape measured I'd ordered, it had been deducted from the commission, but doesn't actually show on the statement. Now I have no problem with paying for what I've ordered, but how do I explain this to my accountant and the tax man? I've emailed Dawn, saying I realise it's not her fault and would she pass the email on, but over a week later, no response. So Hillarys are an £85+M company run by professional money men who can't get an invoicing system to work? But then, £20 isn't even a round of drinks to them, it's not worth worrying about, is it
