I have already reported on these new headrails, not the Delta De-Lux rails. So far only white h/r have been supplied, the beige and brown rails are still being supplied with the solid carriers blocks.
These new blocks are sketeton in appearance from below, with the cord ends being tied in a knot on the lead carrier. On split blinds, there is no apparent fixing as it is inside the carrier. Every rail of this design that I have fitted with split bunching, has the problem that the carriers at one end do not pull fully back, usually leaving a gap of 10mm. Today, I had one that was even more unacceptable, a good 25mm gap. This was so unsightly, I had a look to see if it was alterable.
Discovered, that the cord is fitted into 2 slots at the top of the carrier, with a Gold coloured split ball inside the carrier. Using a pair of needle nolse pliers, the cord can be pushed out of the slots, freeing the cord and split ball from the carrier. The cord can then be pulled outside of the head-rail where the split ball can then be carefuly opened up to let it slide along the cord, allowing the gap to be closed. Don't forget to re-crimp the split ball. Gripping the cord with the pliers, it can then be re-located with the split ball back inside the carrier.
Hope this helps, but it shows that the quality of these new rails and their assembly, is way below par.

Why do Hillary's persist in making changes like this? If something is NOT broke - why FIX it! I have already reported on these new headrails, not the Delta De-Lux rails. So far only white h/r have been supplied, the beige and brown rails are still being supplied with the solid carriers blocks.

but why should we have to do this? i fitted 2 yesterday that need dor'ing because they don't meet inthe middle.the standard of this headrrail is in the least suspect and the only way to get it better is to dor.if we find a way to repair it in the customers houses for a start it don't look very good and what happens if we balls it up is it a down as our fault so chargable. i feel that they brought it in they replace it>

I agree KasM, and I have e-mailed HO, hoping it will find its way to Quality Control (anyone have an e-mailadress) as I believe you cant moan on a site like this withouit taking positive action. I am one who never sends in anonymous questionairres, I always put my contact details on.
However, sometimes, because I am customer focused, and I don't really want to go back for a DOR, I will see if I can do a local fix. I have DOR'd others, as they have other faults that cannot be remidied easily on site. But it is getting that almost every order has something wrong. As I have said before, Cost of Quality vs Cost of Failure.
BTW, for info, why have these previous posts disappeared from the last 50 post?

Tuesday morning got mailer telling me about new Delta 7 headrails being trialed and rolled out "to more counties over the next 3 months" and "When delta 7 is ready to roll-out in your area, you will receive separate instructions ....."
So far so good, good communications, well in advance.
Tuesday afternoon - fitted delta 7 headrail!!! But hang on, it's not in Hampshire yet, we haven't received the "separate instructions".
As I've said many times before, there just isn't any cohesive management at H/O. There may be an overall strategy, but each department appears to be an independent empire implementing its' own plan, with no 2 Dept's. working together.
Perhaps Hillarys has just become too big. Instead of a lean, fit company, it's just become a lumbering hulk, stumbling from problem to problem

Just fitted 4 more, even though not notified it's in my area yet. One split bunch uneven, but not out far enough to waste any time on it. Blinds were 5" capri (can't remember last time I did 5"), aren't these made at Washington? You know, the place that does the quality wood venetians?
