Sold 2 cascade romans (approx 1.3mx1.7M) for £560. Look good and customer very impressed. You have to take a bit more care where you fix the brackets though.

Maybe the Romans are selling like hot cakes because none of us want to sell the woodens... rarely get a DOR with a Roman. I'll sell anything rather than the woodens if I can.....

Can Any of the Old Hands out there give me some advice please. I have today quoted for Roman Blinds for side windows on a conservatory. The blind which is to go over the doors will have a drop of 200.00cm. How far will this hang down when it is fully raised? I am concerned that it will be too low and people will have to duck to get out. How do others deal with Roman Blinds on conservatory doors?

I wouldn't fit over the doors because they will as you say hang down too far,so I would suggest to the customer that they can be fitted to the doors,I always measure inside the handle and make the overlap equal for both sides of the doors always deluxe ( more money= more commission) and order shorter controls and same window option so they match.

AND.....Do your measuring VERY carefully especilally in the corners, Will you be using UEB's? if so do your sums a second time and dont just allow for the thickenss of the Roman rail in the corner. What the manual forgets is that the fabric will be on the blind when you fit it, and you need to allow room for it when its raised. Best to try and avoid UEBs really and popint out to the customer that fabric may hit handle on way down. Dodgybracket
