went out to a customer the other day & sold her 3 aluwood venetians order value of £368.80. she had made the appt two days eirler. The day after she cancled the order & made another appt. so off i went although a little perplexed & confused, It all turns out that Hillarys in their infinate wisdom sent her a at home mag complete with a A4 xmas leaflet , so sure enough the end result was 3 for 99. Absolute insanity if u ask me. It is total insanity, I think if Hillarys had brought this in in January then it would have got a better reception t, but not now. Just when things get better on the order front they go and fill our diarys with uselees leads. At this point in time it is doing no one any good. January, now thats a different story. Red

Bezbozny, Sorry, my posting badly worded. I do know the offer, 3*3mt, max 5 blinds, exrta cost for extra blind. Or 4*3mt max 7 blinds.
Customer specificaly asked lady in CLC if size restrictions applied, but she didn't know.
AS for small print, it's not there. I've looked with several customers, there's no stated restriction on the £349 offer, and the 3/£99 doesn't saying anything like.. max 2 mt wide restricted or selected fabrics 1 offer per household subject to availability.
It's because of this poor marketing litertaure that we get such strong negative reactions. Customers start by saying we responded to your offer, and I don't want to say 3/£99 in case it's not. So we show them the book and they think they can have any fabric for £99

grey van man,
I only get to see a few of the Adverts, I would have hoped all had suitable small print but clearly not. This is only going to result in a feature on Watchdog and numerous stressfull situations for us all. If we are to run offers like this all necessary small print needs to be on all Adverts.
Thanks for clearing that up for me at least I know that you have all seen geniune poorly worded Adverts that are clearly causing problems.

another one going to call trading standards..... 1 window.....3.4metres wide, 1.5 drop 1 patio door.....2.2 metres x 2.1 1 bathroom window...1.5 x 1.0 left him looking through sample book, measured up, sat down till 'he' decided which fabric, (wife wasnt allowed much input). he decided on symphony, i gave him the price, he then started ranting about 3FOR EFFIN 99 . i tried to point out that there were certain restrictions to that offer, but he wasnt having none of it, accused me of wasting HIS time. had he mentioned the stoopid offer before i started, i could have saved a good half hour of my life.

I don't know any advisor who thinks the 3 for 99 is a good promotion; this is reflected in the comments in this forum. I know of two advisors who have left because it was the 'last straw'. Hopefully the powers that be will take heed of this, as without advisors Hillary's wouldn't have a business. I have been fortunate in that I have had only a few enquiries for the 3 for 99, however none were interested in trading up, and I wouldn't waste my time selling them!

The people who want 3 for £99 trade up to 2 for £99 on clouds. My lead effect is on free fall at the moment. And this is how we are going to be judged.
