This is a site I have been meaning to post on here. Excellent but you do have to search hard but its worth it. Hillarys are there once or twice or more!!!!! moneysavingexpert.com/Theres things like freebies, insurance (yes,PL insurance too), and all kinds of notice boards. Well worth a visit. Try the chat forums as well. Lots of info there, just tap in your search details and presto. Have fun Red

TomTom is the one that most people recommend but there are a lot of Navman's around too.
I tried one at an exhibition recently but I found it harder to use than TomTom & I couldn't get the sound to work on it!!!
Maybe, it was only me!!!!!
Shop around for Navman because I've seen some models for 'well under' £200.

As someone who has not got sat nav and uses the old fashioned maps i would like to know if any of the sat nav users have had to be pulled out of rivers or gone over cliffs as is widely reported in the press ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

A lot of what you hear is paparazzi 'spin'!!!!
If you are directed through a 'ford', it doesn't make you do it. Common sense prevails before entering any water!!!
My SatNav has once tried to direct me through a road that is now a cul-de-sac & once asked me to turn right where a road used to be!!!!
A future update will correct that I'm sure!!
Other than that it has directed me through roads I had never considered before & got me to my destination even quicker than my usual 'short-cuts'.
Although you can rely totally on these things you should always have an idea how to get to the place you are aiming for.
It does make traveling through unfamiliar places far more relaxing & stress-free!!!!
I like using it on busy main roads when traffic is racing up behind you & you are looking for a house number. Less 'stop - starting' & it will usually place you right outside the house you want.

joy sorry didnt mean to affend you No offense taken... ;D ;D ;D I'm the first to admit to getting lost in a customers house! If I have to go back to a blind to remeasure (of course I mean WHEN!), I need directions to find the room again!
