The last promotional offers finished 30/09/06...Not had any word sent on new seasonal promotions so don't know what to tell customers when they ask whats on offer from tomorrow...Has anyone been sent any info on new promotions?....Also, I need to download the new price tables for the new roman and roller collection, the download is available but it says not to download without receiving the instructions. Me not being of great technical mind when it comes to SAM device need these instructions in order to download it correctly....anyone been sent these instructions yet?

If you download, you'll get the new roller and roman pricing, but do have the new presenters? I've got the roller presenter, and it's very good, but have no idea of the price structure, sale fabrics or max sizes as I've no paper work to back it up. I don't have the romans so have reverted to paper order forms for the old fabrics. Been selling all weekend without a clue as to what's on offer, but have noticed SAM seems to be pricing 2/ verticals at £12.50 rather than £10 for larger widths. Clouds seems to have disappeared from the 2/ offer, not a clue yet as to what's replaced it.
Perhaps I'll find out on the 12th at the roadshow.
I know these offers aren't suppose to start until 2/10, so maybe I've jumped the gun, but there was a posting on here saying the new download is ready, so I downloaded it. Even so, if the new presenters are to start on 2/10, why the hell don't we have them?
Something to watch out for in the new update. When booking in a fit, I appeared to have no availability, but suddenly found a field asking for fit account number. Having put my details in, it's been fine ever since.

New promotions are in the weekly mailer - mine arrived yesterday so if you haven't got it yet, watch for Monday's post. I too have the new Roller and Roman price lists but haven't received either of the sample presenters, so I won't be updating SAM until these both arrive.

The new promo up here is 3 4 £99, 3 4 £139 various multi-blind offers cheapest being 5 4 £248 (clouds). What bothers me about these promos is the clampets houses we have to go too, but I have not sold one job for 3 4 £99 yet, and do not intend to either. Glen

Clouds start at a 4 blind offer, the 2 and 3 blind offer is no longer available. The only 2 blind offer is on capri. £10 surcharge remains for longer head rails

Did a 6 blind clouds order which came out at £359.30 - 5 small blinds @ £57.80 + 1 @ £70.30

Received all the new promotion material today. I would love to know who these advisors are who, according to Hillarys, have moaned about the blackout rollers being too cheap. Come on Hillarys i doubt anyone would fall for that with your history of spin.

Come on Hillarys i doubt anyone would fall for that with your history of spin. Not seen the new promo material yet, but as an agent from the lowest priced region, I think the pricing on b/o robs are expensive. Did receive a mailer today re commission payments. So after being told to sell, sell, sell up until the 18th, then concentrate on fits, I see Hillarys are now going to keep all commissions processed after the 17th until the 9th January, that is almost 3 weeks from the last commision run to be paid on the 22nd. Was this another ruse to help a 'cash flow' situation at Hillary's.

I've not seen the new promo either!
I can't believe for one moment that ANY Adviser would complain about B/O's being too cheap!!!!
We get slaughtered every time we try to sell one of these at full price or even try to offer Fire Retardant Fabrics or even try to match fabrics between different blind types.
So many other companies can offer solutions to these frequent requests at a realistic price .... why can't Silliards?
Too busy pushing the bag with wheels on around H/O to ever get this sorted I shouldn't wonder!!!!!

I can see no reason why a commission run can't be done on 21 or 22nd and set to drop in to our banks on Wednesday 27th, or even Tuesday 2nd, other than Hillarys gaining the interest on our commission. Still, I'm sure we'll be more than compensated by the Christmas bonus

Maddening, isn't it ! We are exhorted to sell right up to the deadline, then fit like crazy for the last week (often receiving late blinds by carrier at the very last minute) then, when we finally approach the prospect of putting our feet up for Christmas, they are telling us how important it is that we are available for sales appointments between Christmas and New Year, whilst showing absolutely no regard for the fact that we also have families and private lives and, to add insult to injury, holding back payment of commissions for an extra couple of weeks. If you noticed the Head Office Christmas Opening Hours on the back of last week's mailer, you will see that Central Leads are working five days over the holidays, Diary Maintenance and the Service Centre are working just two days, Quotes are only working next Friday, whilst Advisor Finance are closed for the whole eleven days until 3 January. That is why our commission payments will be held back ! Of course, I have no doubt that Head Office salaries are being delayed by the same period ? Same as I believe in fairies, know that the earth is flat, and wetting myself with excitement at the impending visit from Santa Claus. Oh, well - whatever - its just good to know that by tomorrow evening another Hillarys Christmas will be finally over and that I might regain a little control over my life in the New Year so - Merry Christmas to you all !!!

Under the thread Xmas - New Year working - I posted last week about this very thing of Commission payments!!!!!
It happens every year & everyone is always surprised by it.
Accounts Dept take more time off at Xmas than all the others.
It is also to improve their cash-flow.
