I've not seen any confirmation on this yet via any newsletter.
It's great news however!!!!
We'll never know for sure whether this was a genuine move from Hillarys due to the request for free paper from the Forums or if it is because of the legality of the situation. Perhaps! Hillarys have realised that many Advisors are not using their SAM's as much as they could because of the costs involved.
I'll remain skeptical as always as regards any changes or 'U turns' that Hillarys make ... but ... I am grateful for this news all the same!

Well, lets look at it from HQ's point of view.
They still get about 40% queries on paper orders.
So they want us to use SAM rather than paper.
They charged us for SAM paper but gave us free order pads.
I think the forum did have a part in making them re-think this .
In fact - my source also hinted that there are still weekly meetings regarding alot of the items brought up.
So in short.
Let's be thankful for this - it was on the list and it's being done.
Little by little.....

I've just brought some more paper and also not sure if forums made this happen (do think must have influenced). But don't care about either, a positive move by the company so let's just be pleased it's being done. ;D ;D ;D BW

Nothing in this weeks mailer re free paper, and after me just getting a new box. Did get a A4 card insert from JR, that could easily have been printed in the reverse of the mailer and saved another tree or three.

I've heard the same from a reliable Colwick source, who suggested I wait a week or 2 before ordering. The reality is cost-wise, this isn't going to impact on my profitability, but the principle of paying for order forms has really niggled me. I got my SAM unit last April, so this is a nice anniversary present.
So had it a year, currently up to E820! Anyone hit 4 figures yet??
Greenpesto, have you hit 3 figures yet, or do you still hate it?

Greenpesto, have you hit 3 figures yet, or do you still hate it? Yep, hit 1025 this week, got the thing in may last year. Still not over charmed with it. My bill for usage came today, £24. That cost goes up every month, was £13 for 1st bill. Don't use the phone on it. still frustrates the hell out of me. Printing off a big 35 blind order, runs out of paper, will it continue?? will it hell. Sat in customers front room embarassed and wanting to chuck it throught he window. Still too slow for me. I now go out of the house laden down with more gadgets than ever. I can still do it quicker on paper. If we could just put the sizes in, type of blind, fabric and colour, etc, to get the price, before saying which bloody room, bunching and then controls, brackets etc, so we can get to the price 1st instead of last, just like i did on paper, it would be brill' If customer buys, THEN put all the finer datails through. It still frustrates the hell out of me.

GVM!!!!
I'm still in double figures on SAM!!!
And YES!!!! ... I still hate the thing with a vengeance!!!!!
My opinions & reasons for hating it have not changed & are not likely to!!!!!
I actually did a multi blind order on it recently which should have taken 20 minutes but using SAM took over an hour. This was partly due to SAM telling me I was out of 'spec' when I knew full well I was correct. Customer sat there glazing over whilst I 'fiddled' with the 'blasted' thing!
As I've said before ... selling is about communicating with the customer ... NOT ... about trying to impress them with a useless piece of technology.
LONG LIVE 'PAPER ORDERS'!!!!!!

they should refund us the money we've spent on paper already. those of us who've embraced SAM and followed the 'Hillarys way' will have lost out again, i've been paying out for paper over a year, those who were reluctant and are only just signing up to SAM won't have.

Ihad a totally different experience. I ordered the free SAM paper and got it in three days. It is probably who you speak to that matters. As in every department there are those that do a great job and there are those that dont. I must have got one of the good ones when I rang. Cant remember who I spoke to though, but whoever you are, thanks. Red
