Had yet another explanation of the new 28 day rule from another person on service desk. Their understanding is it's to do with missing blinds. If we receive an invoice and no blind, and don't report it within 28 days, it will be assumed we've lost it and charged. Apparently this rule has always sort of applied but never been formalised with a timescale. Sounds like we have another half-thought through initiative not fully explained to those who have to apply it. Asked someone on the help desk today, he explained it very differently. What he seemed to be saying was when a DOR is raised, they follow it up with customer call to see if it's been fitted and is OK. Often, they find it's never been fitted, so if a DOR hasn't been fitted within 28 days, it wasn't really necessary and advisor was wrong to raise it. This suggests the 28 days is from despatch of the DOR, not the original order Be interesting to find out the reality, but this would make more sense.

Stupid me. Just posted the previous post then spotted 'Search' at the top of the screen. Maybe it's too small!
Opps! posted this reply on the wrong topic.

it seems some people receive post others don't . could the fsm be targeting certain people . do the fsm have the powers to decide these extra £7.50 after 28 days d.o.r.s added to the memos sent to you . i haven't read this myself . makes me wonder who's in charge of these changes . to save money do Hillary's really need these fsm.s could they not consolidate and have a contact line which deals with problems from base . If everyone is disappointed with there performance IE .availability to be contacted , threats!! , no help with building your business then a lot of money could be saved in this area . good business savings start at the top , so customer service and front line delivery is kept at its best . if the adviser does not trust the up line contact then none of these changes will work long term . the ad-visor will over come and adapt to survive and make a living at the cost of a once good respected retail name HILLARY'S If this company is in trouble then it needs the advisor's support not mistrust if Hillary's opened up a little it sounds like a lot of people would pull behind the company . a list should be made on this site and added too by all of us advisor's of what are the negatives and positives of be a advisor at this time . we could start to sort out our expectations of what we need to supply good working practices in a agreement between ourselves .then instead of complaining and second guessing your fsm there would be a base line to work up from . we all want a good cash top line but the bottom line is where it all begins . wallpapering over cracks wont help lets start putting something right instead of complaining about our niggles get together and save the business .

Good idea, its time to move forward, we all want to work for Hillarys, but at what cost. They have gone to far, and now we have a forum we have a voice. We do not have to accept everything at face value anymore. Why can you not speak to you fsm. Does he not know how to answer the phone? Can he not call you back? When you do manage to get hold of him why can he not sort out your problems? ls that not his job? What do they (fsm) do?

I spoke to my FSM today about the new 28 day rule and the explanation he gave me is that it for information only. Hillarys believe they have a problem where DORs are reported late and want to see the size of the problem. We should continue to report DORs as usual but any reported more than 28 days after the blind was manufactured will automatically be allocated to code A02 instead of A01. He assured me that these items will be treated as DORs, not agent errors, and there will not be any fine. He has agreed to ask if a better explanation of this arrangement could be included in one of the weekly newsletters so that everybody sees a copy.

I had the same from my fsm today, seems like the information is either worded wrong or not communicated very well at all.
It will one of the issues I bring up at the end of the month when I go to see the top brass.
