Dear all
We have just been through the lead numbers for the next few weeks and they look amazing! We are going to break every record in relation to sales and leads this year.
But I need you help to make this our most successful ever! I need your time and I need lots of it
Between now and Christmas, do you have some days free (Saturdays and Sundays perhaps) or some evenings free? Please, please give us this time to book appointments in. We have customers wanting blinds before Christmas, if we don't see them our competitors will.
Perhaps you are currently quiet with leads right now, if so why not expand your area to cover a greater distance.
We all know that on December the 24th it all goes quiet and we can all enjoy a well earned 2 week break and January will start slowly, so come on, lets make the most of the time we have.
If you can help, call your FSM or Diary Maintenance,

Mellisa, your FSM's have taken the decision to increase every time slot by one appt. without consultation. this happens regularly and causes untold friction. they are under the false impression that this is successful. the topic of self employment rears its head again!

I am really unhappy to hear this, I have left strict instructions with the Regional Managers that diaries should not be increased without consultation with the advisors, as I know this causes friction and poses you with problems meeting the appointments
I will raise it today with the team before I go (I am not back until the 30th November).

Mellisa, thanks, refreshing to hear this. anytime i've raised this before with FSM or Craig Edwards i've been told it was easier to increase everyones availability and then deal with the complaints.
those of us who've been through xmas with hillarys before know what to expect and obviously are keen to gain as much business when the going is good before everyone tightens their belts after xmas!

Mellissa I think fsms consult with us about increasing diary slots or any other matter by sticking it in an email and saying like it or lump it. Discussing anything with advisors has become a thing of the past. I beenon 7 years and it is certainly getting worse. Likewise i find it refreshing your comments regarding this matter

My FSM has not phoned me in over 6 months.
l get faxes from him, but not written by him, saying that he will be phoning all the agents in the next week. He never phones. No great loss really.
Does anyone know what these FSM do? Certainly don't do anything for me.

This extra slot means that next Tuesday I have 16 appointments!!!!!! 9 of them put in yesterday --
Who has been sacked locally I ask?....
6 of these are fits and will really take some doing to ever get near the 4 EVENING APPTS they have given me--which alone will take 90 miles of driving if I go the shortest way...
Now I wish my useless FSM was out with me that day
I suppose they would want an hour for lunch and want to go at 5.00pm---
MELISSA--Save money cut costs--Sack the FSMs
They NEVER return phone calls--have your tried getting a number for a mismeasure recently?? They NEVER EVER SPEAK TO YOU???
I was introduced at the last regional meeting by the FSM to some Head Office person ( Head of cutting velcro pads in half, perhaps??) and the FSM thought I was someone else!!!
I just went along with it!!!
Beyond belief isn't it???

It is interesting to see Mellissa's comments about instructions to FSM's & contacting us before altering our diary's. However Mellissa, are you aware that we are all experiencing continual threats of No leads if we don't or can't do what the FSM's want. I have lost count of the times my FSM has threatened with no leads for the smallest of things. I have ALWAYS been layed back & flexible towards how my business is run & to help out when I can but to be honest the attitude of FSM's as of late is unprofessional at best. Perhaps this is due to their own Managers behavior which to be honest rubs everyone up the wrong way. No names but his initials are R. K. Our link with Hillarys via the FSM's has now really been severed with the changes to there job description. We now have a 'Them & us' conflict on a daily basis & I for one dred hearing from my FSM. Please help to put this right ... we so desperately want our businesses to succeed.

Re this matter of diaries being expanded and evening slots filled up first, may I add the following...
I was TOLD my diary slots were being expanded to four per 3 hour slot, despite the fact that mileage and city traffic mean I spend an unnecessary time in the car. Hillary cannot grasp that " close on the map" is not necessarily "close on the ground"
I suggested that I wanted sometimes to tuck my girls up in bed some nights, and was told that if I wanted to do that regularly then the Manager would get someone else on the patch--NO COMPROMISE. Now I hurtle around doing shed loads of calls in rotten areas, and meeting full frontal agression at least once a day. You can get told you are a con-man so often that you subliminally start to believe it..others will agree on this..
I know my patch could not produce enough work for another full time or even part-time agent, we only have the stupid workload and these working conditions when we have this trashy offer on--WHICH I am selling an average of 6 or 7 blinds per punter. My expenses are 70% up in November & December compared to my figures in my Excel Spreadsheet for Sept/Oct, and my commission is down in total 38%, and my homelife/worklife balance is shot to hell. On top of that Sillarys owe me commission over £300 from over 4 weks ago-thats never happened before.
And as for Commission statements and tracking reports , both by email, WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THEM??
AND dont tell me ,as one HO contact did, that it was only me and I probably had hillarys emails blocked by accident. Well I havent, because I get manager stuff, and discontinued items emails etc etc
Melissa, you must know that the threats of "other agent on the patch" is openly voiced by Managers as " I have to service these calls within the Hilarys set parameters" " Frankly I do not care who does them, or how many of you do them, or how long it takes to do them"
" Frankly if you can't s**t, then get off the pot" are the exact words used to me when I suggested there was a life beyond 6 x 12 hour days back-to-back
No agent is going to stick his/her hand up and claim they were threatened because that is like a turkey looking forward to Christmas.
Those who bully and brow-beat downwards, are probably being bullied and brow-beaten by their "superiors", and they in turn.
If we were employees with a Union, Hillarys would be treating us differently, and if they did treat us this way as employees then they would sell very few blinds this Winter in view of whats been going on.
Whatever happened to consultation, as opposed to ex-retail people trying to think like punters and what will attract them to buy.
You cannot believe the number of times I meet reluctance to pay a deposit on a 3 for £99 sale BY FORMER HILLARY CUSTOMERS, one of who said to me today. " Jeez, lad, that can't be right, either the Office have got it very wrong or they are going down plug-hole and I'm not paying a deposit in that case, You'll get the lot when you fit them. Hillarys know me from old, I've never owed them a penny"
Order sent in, ZERO DEPOSIT...
What was I supposed to do they wanted 25mm Harvest metal venetians and paid 40% of the true price THEY EXPECTED TO PAY!!

ive been waiting 6 weeks for a reply from comissions have phoned and emailed am also owed quite alot but have stopped paying in cash as a protest so when credit control phone will say why and see where it takes me
