I spoke with Kevin at HO and they do keep an eye on this for problems that may be developing.
I suggest we also post what we would like to see in SAM in the future, and I don't mean "bin it" from all those who don't like it. In fact, those who hate SAM, say so, but not "cos it's crap" say what you don't like about it and what would make it more acceptable to you.
Kev also assured me this website isn't blocked at HO, and many people read it. What they have done though is restrict the amount of time people can view it. Seems reasonable to me, it takes long enough to get the phone answered now, be even worse if half dept were reading this instead!

I'd like to see some sort of "copy & set" facility. If doing verticals in a conservatory, the room, headrail style & colour, brackets, fabric and colourway will be the same. If we enter first blind then copy these bits, we'd only have to input dimensions, E/R, bunch & controls. Any blind copied would then be grouped as set, change to fabric on 1st blind would also change rest of set. Now wouldn't that save some time?

Totally agree GVM. SAM can only improve with the ussrs feeding in to IT, a) Problems encountered, b) Suggestions for improvements and c) Ommissons that we would like to see. I have already sent inproblems; 2for pricing errors where under and over 2m prices apply. SAM ignores them. Errors of the 3for roller sizes showing out of spec. Slow entry, not allowing for inputing muti blinds where only sizes change. (as you indicate above) Global changes on blind style, fabric and colour. Addition Outcome os Sales options to add "Cust already ordered" and "Service call"
IT responded, I had a very long call and then added No easy access to change customer details if customer wants quote, you have to go through as if orderering change details and remember to back out. Similar if you want to add manufacturing or fitting notes, in case Quotes convert for you. Access to your Calendar/Diary Access to the notes (read only) after the entry has been "Finalised" Why introduce new product ranges (Roman Shades and Cascade, and Wood Weave) without updating SAM first.
I complain about SAM as most, I used to work as a System Manager, including database build work for customers, so I was used to finding fault with data input systems, but it can only get better if we ALL write to IT with our suggestions. IT do not guarantee to take all suggestions on board, cost and time restraints, but if enough agents raise the same points, it will move that request higher up the priority list.
IT have advised me on conecting SAM to my Apple for Sync'ing the Address and Diary. Now if I could sync my personal diary, to my availability, to my Hillarys schedule.... Mmmm. Pie in sky methinks.

'Kevin' is also a member of this board, so questions can be put to him directly aswell.

Blind scout is right. We need to be able to link our own diary to Hillary's We are self-employed and have other demands on our time, it is ridiculous if a customer calls to arrange / change fitting or calls and we have to backwards and forwards between 2 diaries to check availability. Surely they could organise a "cut & paste" so that we could integrate?

I agree 100percent Althouh I devote a lot of hours to Hillarys I have three other calls on my time, plus family.
If I could programme all my time in one place Hillarys might find I could make more time avalable/ Esp in the Evening

Can we please take the 48 hour protected view off and allow us to view all leads? When we arrive at an empty house, or get a last minute cancellation call, what is so wrong about ringing a customer and seeing if they'd like an earlier appointment? At worst they say NO, at best they say yes, and then we don't have a wasted hour, and a time slot is freed up for CLG to book another lead within 4 days. Many of us are doing this anyway by just changing the device date, but this does seem to affect house keeping routines. Also, when doing this and signing an appointment off as "no product of interest" it doesn't close the lead off and free up the time. With the current level of lead, this is becoming a frequently used option.
We're all big boys and girls, running successful businesses, so please treat us such.

Good news. E01 and E02 fail codes will now appear as text messages in the SAP screens of the Team Leaders in Customer Leads Centre. This, means they can call the customers right away and potentially rebook the appointments. For those of you who know what the heck I am on about, this will make you smile at least a bit ;D _______________________________________ Good news indeed.....

'advisor not availble please rebook'
We will call these customers right away and appologise that you are unable to attend and try and rebook the appointment with the customer rather than leave them in waiting for you to arrive. We are not about to go calling to check if customers are actually in or not, but we are keen to retain all your customers for you. Don't worry, as far as I am concerned we do not have time to start calling you and asking why you didn't go. If you can call these customers and at least appologise and mention someone will call to rebook then GREAT, that certainly helps us out, but we are getting on the case for you, making SAM a lot more useful to all of us.

I actually like SAM.
Not happy about cost because I only earnt 5000 from Hillary's before expenses working and having availability most days last Year,
IE well over 30 hours. a week
I would like Mellisa to explain why advisor's have to buy paper when for the past 30 Years Hillary's have supplied expensive No Carbon required order pads.
I am disappointed I cannot do DORS Defective On Receipt.
I am disappointed i cannot order the entire Hillary's range.
I am disappointed I cannot add appointments by typing in details.
I am disappointed that not all appointments appear.
Apart from that I like SAM
PS as my fax has broken is there anyway I can place an order via email;

E01 & E02 codes work well Bezbozny. I rang a customer approx 8:15pm saying I was running late, could be with her in 1/2 hour or reschedule. She chose latter so I closed lead off. By the time I got home, I had an email confirming she'd been contacted and will be re booking

We have been busy rebooking today so it is nice to know this new feature is appreciated.
