Not like when Ray was publishing the figures and I beat you on every month published Just watchin the cricket (ashes) Nice to hear folk doin well........... hope it keeps fine for yee as in no 3-99 ..4-99 ..5-99 ..6-99 Then lets see who's smokin! And i dont just mean 3-99 etc for a month or two. Try twelve or so.... then publish stats The reason we dont have 3for99 is noone would sell it and noone down south in their right mind would buy it so it wouldnt make much differance

Always save the scrap pieces of headrails, a vert cardboard box full can net ?10 plus. You neede to let me know your scrappy. I took a trailer loaded with Al scrap, Vert headrails, Ven slats, drink cans and other misc Al scrap. Total weight was around 750kilo, netted £55. Had suggested to Hillarys, reusable flat pack packaging should be developed and used, but the reply was negated on a) It would be difficult for the drivers to put return packaging on the van to not interfere with next drop. b) labeling on boxes would become messy. c) Agents wouldnt be rat arsed bothered to return them. Screws always seem to be used, although I find it would be better not to supply them as a kit with a particular blind but to supply boxes of sizes as requested by agents. Vert always supplied with 1.25 x 8's, but often use 0.75 x 6 into wood. Vens always supplied with 0.75 x 6's often have to use 1.25 or 1.5 x 6's. And what do I do with all the wall plugs apart for bagging them and selling them at sale of works or other charitable events. If you ask for 35mm Ven brackets for a 25/15 Ven, why do they always supply both. And a DOR gives a duplicate set. However, you rarly get hold down clips if requested. Elastic bands are saved up and find a home with the customer, or I use them for cubs and scouts (indoor pioneering using garden canes, held with the bands) Cardboard is recycled in customers recycle bins after asking. Not found a use for the cardboard angle sometimes used on longer blind packaging, although offered to schools for crafts. Like Herticulus, sponge foam offered to schools for painting. (some of the type supplied in the past was very soft and fine and worked wonderful as make up sponges for theatrical players. Self seal bags for holding others and selling in 10's, or for holding small parts. You sir have too much time on your hands and would be best suited to taking on the vacant role of "steptoe and son".Whilst you are collecting bits and bobs myself and Auntie Hillary are selling blinds and not Northern 3 for £99 ones. Some of you lose sight that we are here to sell at the highest price weed out the losers and bag the big sales. However if you collectors of scrap need a horse and cart Auntie Hillary has a Gypsy friend who could help .For you steptoe fans I leave you with one word HARROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLDDDDDDDDDDDD

i got some ueb's that are reduntant....down south we are so busy we now have to glue the blinds up as instead of top fixing into horrible brickwork, thought we could save them all up and sell them to china, there is a metal shortage there and we could get maybe £30 to pay for the Hillarys Xmas party

I can't take any more Hillarys Xmas bashes, with the sex, and the drugs and the rock-n-roll, and the overeating full Xmas Dinners, and the strippers, and the bottles to take home, and the turkey dlivered on Xmas Eve, the Sherry for Granny and all that stuff... frankly its so boring and soooooooooooo last year!!!!!!!!!! I'll give it a miss this year. Sod 'em they can do without my sad impersonations, and my being sick everywhere. When you've been to one Hillarys Xmas thrash, you've been to all of them.... When are we to expect the FSM " Happy Xmas email this year?? Will it be December 28th just like last year? Baahh Humbug Blindsfitter

They all partied, we carried on working. Probably cancelled now due to lack of interest and cutbacks, except for the suits of course, who'll be celebrating their crimbo bonus

My dad always taught me to recycle long before it became 'fashionable'. It was the same in Scouts, repair and reuse, not refuse and renew, and we are much further North than Nothern, and yes we have 3499. I will sell at the highest price I can, last week sold that Trinity Mocha? the brown one added to the 50% sale, but it didn't make my list. At least SAM priced it at full price. Had to fiddle a CN job in Vens. Got to do something. Fri had one fit that didn't as blind not delivered. A DOR service call for another agent for a Velux code that didn't fit either and a service call from a previous customer. Was finished before 11. So maybe I should become a FT scrappy.

Has any one else got any tips

I don't find cardboard an issue during the 3 4 99 campaigns - I just set fire to it outside the house in the street along with the plastic and rubber bands - nobody seems to bat an eyelid there
Be positive!

Dennis Why set fire to it outside?. Just drop it on the living room floor. They will never notice it.

Has any one else got any tips Would auntie knit me a chain mail vest from my swarf? I need it to protect myself from the nice 3499 people. And can anyone help with any spare swarf? I've a considerable girth that needs covering. And whoever said about leaving the cardboard on their floor as they'll never notice has lost the plot completely. If you do this, you could charge £5/sq.yd for new carpet
