Well diary booking came in 3 years ago, thats what. It is this one area that is causing all the harm to both adviser and Hillary's alike. Red As DM is obviously the root of all evil, and the real reason for no one earning any money (except me apparently), perhaps it really stands for Diary Mess-up or Devils Mischief or Dastardly & Mutley or Demented Management or Demonic Meddling or Defective Method or Danger Mouse Defeated Morons or Dithering & Muddley Dangerous Masters Daft Method or Deadley Moronic

Bye everyone and happy selling on Bank Holiday Weekend! ;D Will be thinking of you all whilst sipping my cocktail overlooking the sea!!! K What's in the cocktail "overlooking the sea"? Is it nice? Does it have Del Boy umbrella in it Karen? Seriously, I agree with Karen. If you've got a grumble, air it on here but tell Hillarys as well, or you'll just be considered one of the moaning few. We don't publish enough when things are going well, because we all remember the bad bits. Within the last week, I've fitted 8 rollers in a conservatory, took 45 minutes £1k order value. I fitted 6 vert in a conservatory, took 90 minutes, £1,250. Took an order for 4 verts in a conservatory, £1k. But what do I think about? The 7 verts with only 6 headrails, and the 7 venetians with the wrong size hold down brackets in 1 box, and the wrong blind in another. Advisor Lapis, I've got a small 25mm venetian in champagne of yours, you've probably got mine. So yes I have grumbles. If I've got too many leads because of the stupidity of forcing diary booking, I just won't do them. I didn't create the problem, I'm not going to sweat on it. But generally, things are going well. For the 5 months from April, I'm 2% up on order value from last year, despite taking a week off in July this year, 3 days for H/O training, and still got a weeks selling to go. My AOV is up considerably on last year, my tax is down due to becoming a LTD company last year, and I'm about to register for flat rate VAT, which will benefit me around £2.5k/annum. I'm a heavy user of SAM, over 90% last month, I'm happy with diary booking generally (45 min leads excepted). Sorry Red, but these things work very well for me, even though I know you hate them both. I wouldn't want to go back to home phone numbers or paper orders. I've also got a new FSM, new to the company. He tells me his brief is different to the others. He's here to listen to advisors constructive criticisms and report back. He's openly said he hasn't any authority to change things, but will push to get improvements. Now I know you'll all be sceptical, but if he's prepared to try it, so am I. As Karen said, let's be positive and use any avenue we can for improvement

I positively want back all the money illegally taken from me in clawbacks...... I have asked RossK what the situation is, and the response was a visit from my FSM asking me not to send any more emails to RossK. So now I don't........or to my FSM either. I now have to accept that if I want to work for Hillarys, I have to accept the way Hillarys run their business. If I don't accept it then I can leave. Let Hillarys run their business their way...and let us run our businesses our way. Joy......enjoying the bank holiday week-end. but NOT in Torquay!

Hi Red Firstly, I think I've every right to be upset with Keenasmustard posting about me, particularly as I don't have a clue who he is! By the way, I still don't know who you are Red! Secondly, I to have same frustrations as many of you but what I've been trying to say is that I try to look at the positive side of the business rather than dwell on the negative side and I'm sure that helps with my attitude towards selling blinds. If I have any frustrations with Hillarys, I might post about them here and agree with others but I always inform head office of how I'm feeling..................I would never post anything on here that I wouldn't talk to them about. Some of my frustrations have been dealt with, like 3 for £99, Keenasmustard! Others haven't like Service calls although I'm almost there now...............I've requested that none are booked into my diary and that we must be contacted first and this normally is the case now! Sometimes it just takes a friendly phone call to put something right for me, other times it doesn't work. But I truly feel that by staying positive it helps me to sell more and believe it or not very rarely any of the blinds are in the offers! Right, I'm definately off to Torquay now so won't be posting till next week! I've always found that they will go out of their way to help. The problem is CLG/Service centre. Never answer e-mails. Always try to pass the buck. Tell customers to ask for products we dont sell. Tell customers to ask for "special" offers. Tell customers that "Yes, we do have a full range of colours in the 3 for 99". The list could go on, but dont place the blame where it don't belong

I have never heard of a situation when senior management will not give their workforce the decentcy of an answer (oh yes I have it was the captain of the titanic) it just goes to show what weak people they really are to send a fsm. what did Karen say" she always talks things over with h/o" I wonder who she was talking to the "cleaner" sorry karen this wasn't a dig at you more like a dig at h/o

Diary maintenance and diary booking are two different departments and diary maintenance staff have always been very helpful. Great bunch to talk to. I have to say that or Julia will hurt me. ;D It is diary booking or CLG that causes all the confusion. Ask any of the people at Hillary's and they will say the same (Discreetly, of course). Red

I am sorely hacked off with this guy. I have never met him.. never spoken to him... Wouldn't know him if he knocked on my door... Yet he has the gall to thieve our money..... Its high time he had a talking to!!!! Hereticus seems to lay some store by the guy WHY ? Hes a Fagin, ( Head of Pickpockets) is Ross K... If any of us took money off clients and didn't return it in full to Hillarys we would be sacked..... THEN WHY IS HE STILL HERE? ?? I suggest a mass email campaign to John-boy R, telling him he has a Head of Theft on the Staff might open his eyes. That guy is only told what folk want him to hear anyway!! I had £42.00 taken off me in 2 deductions on jobs where customers were given discounts because they complained , and I was never involved.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im sorry to read that the same old troubles continue.
Regretably Hillarys does appear to be an an arrogant company.
Is there a layed down grevience procedure, by law there must be for staff. There should ve for advisors.
Interesting about Forced Availability and Area Manager going on Holiday.
I remember last Year During The Christmas Build up period The National Sales Manager went holiday. ;D ;D ;D
It was these kind of actions that lead me to come the conclusion that Hillarys is not worth the candle.

See what I meant in earlier posting, WE ARE Lions ,led by Donkeys..... I got the same memo, yet I was asked to stretch my availability over the weekend. I said sorry, I genuinely could not do it. All I got was a " You are not being very helpful, at a time we all need to pull together" SNEER...... Why do we all have to pull together when many in the operation are trying to pull it apart?? Oh Yes I nearly forgot YEAR-END is nearly upon us..... All I want is half decent appointments and a decent product to fit and no one STEALING MY COMMMISSION ( Do you hear that ROSSK and JOHNR??) I do not, however, condone the use of this forum for directing an abusive and slanderous rant at a senior member of management from behind your protective veil of anonymity. How can Ross Kenney or anybody else defend himself against your attack, or even comment on your issues, when he has absolutely no idea who you are ? You mention that you have sent him a personal message through this forum, but that still maintains your anonymity so don't hold your breath waiting for a response. I accept that you have a genuine issue so come out from behind your shield and take it up properly.
